국문 초록

본 연구는 대학교육에 메를로-퐁티 언어론을 실천적으로 적용함으로써 무기력한 함구증에 빠진 대학 수업을 학습자 중심의 배움 과정으로 복귀시키기 위한 하나의 방편을 얻으려는 시도이다. 이를 위해 메를로-퐁티의 언어론을 구체화하고 이에 기 반하여 수업의 원리와 전략들을 구안, 대학 수업에 적용함으로써 그 함의를 탐색하 였다. 메를로-퐁티는 ‘몸의 표현’, ‘감각지각들의 자율적 설립 체제’, ‘타자지각에 기 반한 대화 메커니즘’ 등 매우 독특한 논의로 자신만의 언어론을 구축하고 있다. 본 연구는 메를로-퐁티의 이 같은 언어론에 따른 수업을 ‘표현적 대화’ 수업으로 명명 하고 표현적 대화 수업의 원리로 ‘생성의 원리’, ‘감응의 원리’, ‘몸적 지향의 원리’, ‘생성의 언어와 축적의 언어 간의 상호작용 원리’, ‘타자지각적 대화의 원리’를 도출 하였다. 또한 이 원리들에 따른 전략들을 고안하여 대학 강좌에 적용함으로써 표현 적 대화의 수업 맥락적 특징을 추출하였다. 그 결과 표현적 대화 수업은 ‘언어-몸- 사고’ 트라이어드의 구조에서 작동하고, 여기에 ‘타자’를 적극적으로 도입하여 트라 이어드를 확장시키며, 대화자들로 하여금 배움의 세계에 적극적으로 참여하게 함으 로써 이 트라이어드를 창조적으로 진화·발전시켜 나간다는 특징을 보였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to secure a method to get the university classes, fallen into feckless ‘mutism’, back to ‘learner-centered classes’, through practical adaptation of language theory of Merleau-Ponty, to university classes. For it, this study systematically organized Merleau-Ponty’s language theory, and developed the principles and strategies onto instruction, as well as exploring practical meanings of Merleau-Ponty’s linguistics through applying it to university classes. Merleau-Ponty constructs his own linguistics based on the unique concepts such as ‘body s expression’, ‘autonomous system instituted by perceptions’, ‘dialogue mechanism based on perceptions for others’, etc. This study called the class based on his language theory ‘expressive dialogue’ class, and drew its principles such as ‘principle of creation’, ‘principle of affection’, ‘principle of bodily intention’, and ‘principle of interaction between language of creation and language of sedimentation’. Also, this study abstracted contextual characters of expressive dialogue in class by devising and applying strategies in accordance with these principles. Consequently, the class of expressive dialogue activates the system of the triad of ‘language-body-thinking , expands this triad by bringing ‘others’ into it, and creatively develops this triad, letting all partners of the dialogue participate actively in the world of learning.
