국문 초록

본 연구는 예비교사들이 초등학교 학생들이 흔히 범하는 수학적 오개념에 대해 진단하고 맥락을 이해하며 원인을 분석한 후 구체적인 지도방안을 탐색하는데 도움 을 주기 위해 스마트교육 콘텐츠(스마트 앱)를 개발하고 적용한 것이다. 이를 위해 수학적 오개념을 추출하고, 각 오개념과 관련하여 오개념 확인, 맥락이해, 원인분석, 지도방안, 평가 단계로 세분하여 프로토타입을 개발하였다. 개발된 자료에 대해 현 직 초등교사에게 피드백을 받아 수정․보완하고 예비초등교사 49명에게 6주 동안 활용해 보게 한 후, 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 스마트 앱의 전반적인 내용 구성에 대한 만족도는 5점 척도 중 4.18점, 활용 방법에 대한 만족도는 3.86점으로 나타났다. 스마트 앱의 활용 결과와 관련한 대부분의 문항에 대해 긍정적이었는데, 특히 초등학생들의 수학적 오개념을 이해하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 깨닫게 되었다 는 반응이 4.78점으로 가장 높았다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 토대로 스마트 콘텐츠 개 발 및 적용, 예비교사를 위한 수학교수법 관련 지도 등에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This study developed SMART educational contents (i.e., SMART app) in order to help prospective teachers diagnose mathematical misconceptions that are typically made by elementary school students, understand their contexts, analyze their causes, and explore how to teach against such misconceptions. For this purpose, typical mathematical misconceptions were extracted and a prototype of SMART app was developed according to five steps of teaching against misconceptions. The prototype was revised on the basis of elementary school teachers’ feedbacks. A total of 49 prospective elementary school teachers used the SMART app for 6 weeks and completed a questionnaire. The results showed that the average score of satisfaction as for the content of the app was 4.2 out of 5 Likert scales, whereas the score as for the application methods was 3.86. The participant teachers were positive, specifically with regard to the item that they came to realize that it is important to understand mathematical misconceptions made by elementary school students. This paper includes several implications with regard to the development and application of SMART app as well as pre-service teacher education.
