청소년 대상 국제체험학습에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석(2005∼2014)

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국제교류, 해외봉사, 단기 연수 등 청소년 국제체험학습에 관한 국내 연구 동향을 분석하여 과제를 탐색하고 미래 방향을 위한 시사점을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 최근 10년(2005-2014)간 국내 학술지에 게재된 청소년 대상 국 제체험학습 관련 논문 54편을 분석하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구방법에 서는 질적 연구(35%)가 가장 많았으나, 최근 양적 연구와 혼합 연구가 크게 증가하 고 있었다. 둘째, 연구유형에서는 2011년부터 실행 및 효과검증(43%), 변인관계·영 향력 분석(15%)의 연구가 증가하였으며, 교육 현장을 중심으로 현황이나 효과에 대 한 질적 연구도 꾸준히 계속되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대상은 대학생(62%) 이 다수를 차지하였고, 활동 유형에서는 봉사·교육개발협력과 국가 간 교류에 관한 연구가 각각 26%, 24%로 가장 높았다. 넷째, 국제체험학습의 목적 및 효과는 타문 화 이해가 가장 높은 순위(17%)를 차지하였고, 다음으로 국제협력 이해 증진(16%) 과 세계시민의식(15%)으로 나타났다. 이러한 목적과 효과는 해외봉사(25%)에서 가 장 많이 언급되었고, 국가 간 교류에서는 글로벌 역량이, 인턴십·실습과 같은 활동 유형에서는 개인 역량에 관한 부분이 강조되고 있었다. 마지막으로 선행 연구에서 가장 많이 제기되고 있는 국제체험학습의 문제점은 전문적이고 특성화된 프로그램 개발이며, 참여 학생과 교류국의 요구 반영, 참여 학생 선정(선발의 공정성, 참여연 령과 계층의 확대)이 개선되어야 할 주요 문제점으로 제기되었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze trends in domestic researches on international experiential learning targeting youth for last 10 years(2005-2014) in order to find out tasks and future directions. Targeting 54 articles which were published in Korea from 2005 to 2014, this study did contents analysis and the results can be summarized as follows. First, qualitative research methods represented the highest priority(35%) and recently quantitative and mixed methods have increased. Second, this results seems to be related to the growing researches with the theme of analysis of the effects of program implementations(43%) and relationships/influence among variables(15%) using both quantitative and qualitative research methods since 2011. Next, this study analyzed the features of international experiential learning for youth, which were described in domestic research studies. The group most targeted was university students(62%) and exchange among nations and volunteering activity ranked first in the type of the global experiential learning(24%) in researches. Understanding other cultures(17%) was ranked first and most often mentioned as purpose and effect, next came understanding international cooperation(16%) and global citizenship(15%). These purposes and effects were mostly presented in volunteering activity(25%) followed by exchange among nations and mixed type. Last, the problems most presented in these global experiential learning activities was specialized and systematized program development, next came necessity of reflecting on the needs of participating students and partners and expanding opportunities in participating students in age and class.
