교사의 존재와 의무의 비(非)대칭성에 대한 검토와 문제의 진단

국문 초록

이 논문은 일련의 교사 사망 사건으로 드러난 ‘교권 추락’의 원인을 혼탁한 정치적 진영논리라는 함정에 빠지지 않고, ‘원인 및 진단의 복합론’의 관점에서 다루었다. 다시 말해 교권 추락의 담론을 교육학적 성찰의 차원으로 옮겨 교사의 존재(Lehrer-Sein)에 관한 철학적 쟁점을 검토해보고, 그 문제의 원인을 사회적 실제와의 대비를 통해 진단하고자 하였다. 이 문제를 이해하기 위해 논문에서는 우선 교사의 존재와 의무의 관계에 대한 철학적 예비 고찰을 시도하였다. 그 결과 존재와 의무는 목적론적-존재론적 철학 담론에 지나치게 지배되고 있음을 확인하였다. 존재와 의무는 개념적으로 서로 닮지 않은 이질성과 의미론적 불균형으로 인해 비(非)대칭성의 관계에 있다. 이러한 철학적 예비 고찰을 통해 교사라는 존재가 왜 고통으로 받아들여지고 있는지 그 원인 진단을 시도하였다. 필자는 이 문제가 사회적 실제의 다양한 변화 양상과 밀접히 관련을 맺고 있다고 판단하면서, 이를 근대적 교사상의 붕괴, ‘교육적 올바름’의 딜레마, 학교 현장의 기능화 및 법제화의 모순적 귀결, 사회의 반(反)지성주의 경향 등 네 가지 핵심 주제를 중심으로 분석하였다.

영문 초록

This thesis deals with the cause of the fall of the teachers’ right, which was revealed by a series of teacher deaths, from the complex perspective of the cause and diagnosis, rather than falling into the trap of turbid political camp logic. In other words, by shifting the discourse of the fall of teaching authority to the dimension of pedagogical reflection, the philosophical issue of the teacher's existence(Lehrer-Sein) was examined and the cause of the problem was diagnosed through the contrast with the social reality, In order to understand this problem, this article first attempted to conduct a philosophical preliminary examination of the relationship between the existence and duty of teachers, and as a result, it was confirmed that its existence and duty are excessively dominated by teleological-ontological philosophical discourse. Existence and duty are in a non-symmetry relationship due to heterogeneity and semantic imbalance that are not conceptually similar to each other. As I believe that this problem is closely related to various changes in social reality, I analyzed it focusing on four core themes: the collapse of modern teacher Image, the dilemma of educational correctness, the contradictory consequences of functionalization and legalization of life world(Lebenswelt) like school, and the anti-intellectualism trend of society.
