고등교육에서의 역량기반 교육과정을 위한 평가연구

국문 초록

본 논문에서는 한국의 D대학에서 ACE사업의 일환으로 시행하고 있는 역량기반 교육목표 학습성과 평가시스템과 이러한 평가체계에 따라 성취도를 측정한 사례에 대해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 비인지적 요소에 대한 평가미흡, 평가도구의 타당성 등이 평가의 한계점으로 나타났다. 그러나 역량기반 교육목표를 학습성과의 형태로 진술함으로써 학생들이 성취해야 할 역량이 명확히 드러난 점, 역량의 평가를 위해 평가도구를 다양화하는 등 학과의 자구적 노력이 확대된 점에서는 의의를 가질 수 있다. 역량기반 교육과정을 위한 평가는 역량의 개념적 속성에 근거하여 인지적 요소와 비인지적 요소를 총합적으로 평가할 수 있어야 할 것이며, 하나의 평가도구는 일부의 역량만을 측정할 수밖에 없으므로 다양한 평가도구를 활용함으로써 역량요소에 대한 상호보완적 평가가 이루어질 수 있도록 한다. 고등교육에서의 역량기반 교육을 위한 평가연구가 여전히 미흡한 만큼 앞으로도 계속해서 새로운 평가도구와 시스템 개발에 노력을 경주해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we examined the competency - based education objectives performance evaluation system that is being implemented as part of the ACE project at D University in Korea and the case of measuring achievement according to this evaluation system. As a result, the lack of evaluation of the non cognitive factors and the validity of the evaluation tools were found to be limitations of the evaluation. However, by expressing competency-based education goals in the form of learning outcomes, it is clear that the competency that students need to achieve is clear, and that the self-help efforts of the department are expanded by diversifying assessment tools to assess competency. The assessment for competency based curriculum should be able to evaluate the cognitive and non - cognitive factors on the basis of the conceptual attributes of competency, and the complementary evaluation of competency elements can be made by using various evaluation tools. As the research on evaluation of competency based education in higher education is insufficient, we should continue to devote our efforts to developing new evaluation tools and systems.
