고등학생의 생애목표 프로파일에 따른 학업적 자기개념과 학업성취의 차이

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 청소년기 특히 고등학교 3학년의 생애목표를 유형화 하고, 이에 따라 고등학생이 많은 시간을 쓰는 학업영역에서 중요한 객관적 결과인 학업성취와 주관적 결과인 학업적 자기개념의 차이를 보고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 한국교육개 발원 2005 한국교육종단조사 6차 년도(2010년) 데이터(N=5,299)를 활용하여 생애목표의 잠재 프로파일(Latent Profile Analysis: LPA)을 분석한 결과, 각 생애목표내용의 추구 수준에 따라 6개 유형으로 구분되었다. 6개 유형에 따른 학업적 자기개념과 학업성취의 평균점수는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 특히 유의미한 유형들의 특징을 살펴보면 외재목표보다는 내재목표의 중요성 인식수준이 학업적 자기개념과 학업성취에는 중요한 것으로 나타났고 내재목표의 중요성인식 수준이 높을수록 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 또한 생애목표의 중요성 인식 수준이 전체적으로 높은 경우 학업적 자기개념과 학업성취에 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 본 연구는 고등학생 생애목표를 개인중심적 접근을 통해 실제적인 유형으로 구분했다는 것에 의의가 있고 이러한 다양한 유형을 바탕으로 학업상황에서 중요한 학업적 자기개념과 학업성취의 차이를 통해 생애목표내용의 어떤 부분에 대한 교육적 노 력을 기울여야 하는지에 대한 시사점을 가지고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to classify ife goals of adolescents, especially high school seniors, and thus to explore the difference between academic self-concepts and achievement, which are important results in the area of study where high school students spend a lot of time. To that end, the Korean Educational Longiltudinal Study 2005 data was analyzed, using Latent Profile Analysis(LPA). There were 5,299 participants who completed the sixth surveys. The results indicated that the life goals of high school student were classified into six types. There were significant differences between the academic self-concepts and achievement for the six profile types. In particular, if you look at the characteristics of significant types of goals, the level of recognition of importance of internal goals rather than external goals was shown to be important for academic self-concepts and achievements, and the higher the level of recognition of importance of internal goals, the more positive the result was. In addition, there were positive results in academic self-concepts and achievements when the level of awareness of the importance of life goals was high overall. This study is meaningful in that high school students life goals have been divided into actual types through an personl-oriented approach and, based on these various types, has implications for what part of their life goals should be made by looking at the differences between academic self-concepts and achievements that are important in academic situations.
