가정과 의생활 메이커스페이스 구축에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 가정과 메이커 교육의 확산을 위해 고등학교 학교 현장에서 가정실을 메이커스페이스로 구축해, 메이커스페이스의 효과를 살펴본 연구이다. 연구결과, 교실공간, 가정준비실(작품전시 및 토의공간), 메이킹 작업대, 보조 작업대, 재료진열공 간, 가정교과 교육활동 관련 정보 공간, 디지털 작업공간, 온라인 커뮤니티 공간, 안전 유지를 위한 공간의 9개의 공간으로 메이커스페이스가 구축되었다. 그리고 학생들의 메이킹 활동을 돕는 의생활도구(재봉틀, 재단용가위, 다리미, 만들기 도안 등), 일반도구(글루건, 스테이플러, 스카치 테이프 등), 정보 검색 도구(태블릿 PC, 프린터, 화이트보드와 마케펜, 컴퓨터), 첨단도구(3D펜, 3D프린터, 레이저 각인기)의 44개의 메이커 도구/장비/재료가 메이커스페이스 안에 구비되었다. 학생들은 연구자가 개발한 메이커스페이스가 학생들의 메이커 교육 프로그램 실행에 도움이 되고(4.04/5), 메이커 도구/장비/재료도 메이커 교육 프로그램 실행에 도움이 된다고 인식(3.94/5)하고 있었다. 본 연구는 가정과 교과교실인 가정실이 주로 식생활 메이킹 활 동 위주로 구성되어 있기에 의생활 메이커 교육에 도움이 되는 메이커스페이스를 구축했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 추후 연구에서는 식/의/주/가족/소비의 가정과 전 영역의 메이킹 활동에 도움이 되는 메이커스페이스 구축에 관한 연구를 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of maker space by constructing a practical room for home economics subject as maker space in high school to promote maker education in home school subject. The results show that the maker space was constructed with nine spaces: Classroom, preparation room (work exhibition and discussion space), making-worktable, auxiliary worktable, space for material display, space for educational activities of home economics, digital workspace, online community space, space for safety. Furthermore, the maker space has 44 tools including clothing making tools (sewing machines, cutting scissors, irons, designs, etc.), general tools (glue guns, staplers, scotch tapes, etc), information search tools (tablet PCs, printers, whiteboards and computers), and cutting-edge tools (3D pens, 3D printers and laser engraving machines). The students responded that the maker space built by the researcher was helpful to implement the maker education program (4.04 out of 5) and they also recognized that the maker tools were useful to carry out the maker education program (3.94 out of 5). This study is meaningful in that it establishes a maker space to help clothing maker education, unlike the existing practical room for home economics mainly consisting of cooking practice. Further research is needed to establish a maker space that can be helpful for making activities in all areas of home economics subject, such as food, clothing, house, family, and consumption.
