탈북 청소년 연구의 20년 동향분석

국문 초록

다가오는 통일 시대에 가교 역할을 할 탈북 청소년들이 점점 늘어남에 따라 관련 연구가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 연구에 대한 동향분석은 최신의 연구까지 반영한 것이 없고, 연도별로 연구 분야와 주제 등이 어떻게 변화하는지 분석한 연구가 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 탈북 청소년 연구가 처음 시작된 1999년부터 2018년 12월까지 최신의 동향을 반영하여 학술지 논문 207편의 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 연도, 학교급, 연구 분야, 연구주제, 주제어를 중심으로 분석하였고, 연도와 교차 분석하여 어떻게 변화하는지 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 탈북 청소년 관련 연구는 2010년에 급증하였고, 특히 2017년에 눈에 띄게 증가하였다. 학교급별로는 중등교육인 중학교급과 고등학교급에서 연구가 가장 많이 이루어졌고, 고등교육인 대학교급 연구가 가장 적었다. 연구 분야로는 사회과학 분야가 74.87%로 가장 많았고, 그 중에서도 교육학 분야에서 가장 활발히 수행되었다. 연구 주제는 적응이 가장 많았고(27.05%), 다음으로는 교육이었으나(24.63%), 적응을 교육적 측면에서 다룬 연구들을 고려하면 ‘교육’이 많이 다루어짐을 볼 수 있다. 연구 방법은 질적연구가 가장 많았으며, 최근 2년 동안에는 양적연구가 질적연구보다 많이 수행되는 추세를 보였다. 주제어 분석에서는 ‘적응’이 많아 연구 주제와 일맥상통한 결과를 얻었고, 학습·학업이 많아 연구 분야, 연구주제와 마찬가지로 ‘교육’과 관련된 주제어가 많이 다루어짐을 볼 수 있었다. 또한, ‘다문화’라는 새로운 주제어를 발견하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 20년 동안의 탈북 청소년 연구 동향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 향후 연구 과제를 제시하는 데 있다. 또한, 탈북 청소년 연구 전반적으로 ‘교육’이 많이 다루어지기 때문에 학습자로서의 탈북 청소년에 대한 이해와 탈북 청소년 교육 연구에도 시사점을 제공할 수 있다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

As the number of North Korean adolescent defectors who will serve as bridges in the coming unification era is increasing, the impact of related researches is therefore very important . However, trend analysis on these studies does not reflect the latest research, and it does not show the yearly pattern of the research topics and fields. To reflect the current research trends, 207 journal articles published from 1999, which North Korean adolescent defector research began, to December 2018 were analyzed in this study. The research trends were analyzed by year, school level, research field, research topic, and key word. The result of the analysis showed that, the studies on North Korean Adolescent Defectors surged in 2010 and 2017. Analysis based on school levels indicated that, middle school and high school research were the most common, and university-level research was the least. With respect to research field, social science field was the most popular with 74.87%, and it was performed most actively in the education field. Regarding research topics, ‘adaptation’ is the most popular(27.05%) and closely followed by ‘education’(24.63%). Qualitative research was the most common method, and during the last two years, quantitative research has been performed more than qualitative research. In the analysis of the key words, there were many occurrences of adaptation and the result of the study was in line with the research topics. Furthermore, there was evidence of many key words related to education , and multi-culture was found to be a new keyword. The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of North Korean adolescent defectors for 20 years and to suggest future research projects. As a result, it is meaningful to understand North Korean adolescent defectors as a learner and to provide implications for research on North Korean adolescent defectors education.
