청소년기 자존감 초기치, 변화율과 우울 사이의 종단적 관계

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 조건부 잠재성장 모형분석으로 청소년기 자존감의 초기치, 변화율과 우울 사이의 종단적 관계를 알아보는 것이었다. 이 연구는 한국 아동청소년패널조사에 참여한 2351명의 청소년들 대상으로 수집된 종단자료를 사용하였다. 이 연구는 선행시점의 우울이 장래의 자존감의 초기치와 변화율을 유의하게 예측할 것이란 가설을 세웠다. 이 연구는 또한 선행시점의 자존감의 초기치와 변화율이 장래의 우울을 유의하게 예측할 것이란 가설을 세웠다. 조건부 잠재성장 모형의 적합여부는 TLI, CFI, RMSEA, SRMR으로 판단하였다. 조건부 잠생성장 모형은 자료에 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 조건부 잠재성장모형분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선행시점에서 우울이 심한 청소년 일수록 장래의 자존감 초기치 수준이 낮았다. 둘째, 선행시점에서 우울이 심한 청소년 일수록 이후에 자존감이 증가하는 추세를 보였다. 셋째, 선행시점에서 자존감의 초기치가 높은 청소년 일수록 장래의 우울이 낮았다. 넷째, 자존감에서 감소하는 변화율을 보인 청소년들은 장래의 우울이 높았다. 청소년기 자존감의 초치기, 변화율과 우울의 종단적 관계가 상담 및 후속 연구에 대해 갖는 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the longitudinal relationships among initial level and change in self-esteem and depression during adolescence. This study used longitudinal data on 2351 adolescents from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey. This study hypothesized that previous depression will significantly predict subsequent intial level and change in self-esteem. This study also hypothesized that previous intial level and change in self-esteem will significantly predict subsequent depression. The results of this study through conditional latent growth curve analysis were in the followings. First, adolescents who depression was severe exhibited lower initial level in subsequent self-esteem. Second, adolescents who depression was severe exhibited increasing change in subsequent self-esteem. Third, adolescents who initial level of self-esteem was higher exhibited higher level in subsequent depression. Fourth, adolescents who showed decreasing change in self-esteem exhibited higher level in subsequent depression. The implications about the longitudinal relationships among initial level and change in self-esteem and depression during adolescence are discussed for counseling practice and future research.
