참빛부설초등학교 사회과교사 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 내러티브탐구를 적용하여 참빛부설초등학교 사회과교사의 수업전문성 발달과 관련된 경험을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 참빛부설초등학교에서 오랫동안 근무했던 경험이 있는 6명의 교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여 심층면담을 수행 하였다. 본 연구 결과, 참빛부설초등학교 사회과교사들은 오랫동안 공립학교에서 사회과수업을 실천하면서 해결하지 못한 갈증 때문에 부설초등학교에 전입하였다. 참빛부설초등학교에는 수업공동체, 교담식운영, 사회과자료라는 수업전문성 신장을 위한 외적체제가 잘 구축되어 있었다. 그 속에서 동료교사들과 이야기하기, 예비교사 들에게 가르쳐보기, 다른 반에서 수업 실험해보기, 다양한 선배교사들의 수업자료 참고하기를 통해서 자신의 수업전문성을 신장시켜 나갔다. 그리고 외적체제를 통해 서 사회과수업전문가로서의 긴장감과 책임감, 부설초등학교 사회과교사라는 자부심, 수업구성에 대한 흥미와 성취감이라는 내적요인을 만들어갔다. 연구참여자들은 최종적으로 부설초등학교에서 근무를 마칠 때는 전입했을 때와 차원이 다른 수업에 대한 목마름이 생겼다. 본 연구는 단위학교에서 오랫동안 사회과수업전문성을 신장시키기 위해 노력한 교사들의 경험을 심층적으로 탐색했다는데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigates development in teaching profession and related experience of social studies teacher working at ChamBit elementary school affiliated to university of education by applying narrative inquiry. In this study, five teachers who used to work at ChamBit elementary school for several years were selected as participants and in-depth interview was conducted. As a result, it was found out that they decided to work at ChamBit elementary school affiliated to university of education because of conflict not resolved in their teaching practice. In ChamBit elementary school, an external system which consists of class-community, Classes run by Subject Specialized Teachers classroom, Social Studies Specialized Material was well set for the development of teaching profession in social studies. Teachers gradually developed teaching profession by communicating with colleagues, teaching pre-service teachers, running a pilot class in other classes, and referring to classroom material of senior teachers. Through this external system, teachers have constructed an internal factor of tension and responsibility of experts, pride of affiliated elementary social studies teacher, and interest and fulfillment in planning lesson. Finally, teacher experienced entirely different passion for the lesson by the time when they were about to finish their jobs at the affiliated elementary school. It was different from the feeling when they started to work there. This study is significant in investing the experience of teachers who have put effort in developing teacher profession in social studies for a long time at the school level.
