영문 초록

This study examines the effects of the international movement towards stronger intellectual property rights (IPR) in establishing competitive strength of tourism industry. As an increasing number of foreign tourism companies entering the Korean market, many Korean tourism companies have to pay high cost for compensating copyrights or go under a very expensive legal problem to deal with IPR. This study will employ a format of a comparative case study to identify the current status of IPR perceived by Korean tourism companies, both in tangible and intangible tourism resources. In addition, the study will examine the possible opportunities of growth in Korean tourism industry through establishing a strong IPR not only in Korean but also in the global context.
