영문 초록
Mindful of the Red Sea ecosystem degradation, the Egyptian Red Sea stakeholders with the support of the international development agencies are collaborating to protect the destination's fragile marine assets from negative impacts resulted from unsustainable tourism practices. A structured questionnaire was distributed to the destination's stakeholders at all levels to stand over the protection joint activities. The findings of the research emphasized the importance of activating public/private/NGO partnerships and alliances with community organizations, creating Red Sea comprehensive destination management organizations and conservation clubs, and securing sustainable independent funding to undertake environmental management projects.
