영화 ‘국제시장’대사 속 한국 문화교육 및 수업설계 연구

국문 초록

본고는 영화 “국제시장” 속 대사를 활용하여 한국 문화교육을 실시하고자 하였다. 영화 ‘국제시장’은 한국의 전통적인 유교문화 배경아래 형성된 한국인의 정서와 근현대사의 역사적 사실까지 이해할 수 있는 스토리로 구성되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 언어를 배우는 목적은 원활한 의사소통을 위함이라는 관점은 의문의 여지가 없다. 사실 원활한 의사소통을 위해서는 목표언어의 정서문화를 이해해야 만이 진정한 의사소통이 이루어진다고 할 수 있겠다. 그러므로 본고에서는 영화 속 대사를 통하여 한국의 정서문화—정情, 한恨, 효孝, 가장家長 중심문화를 이해하고 이를 학습하기 위한 수업설계를 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 우선 학습 전 단계에서는 영화의 주요한 배경인 6.25전쟁으로 인한 남북분단의 역사와 사실에 대해 알아보고, 학습단계에서는 영화 감상 후, 영화 대사 속 문화 학습과 당일의 목표문법을 학습한다. 마지막으로 학습 후 단계에서는 한국 근현대사의 주요 사건들과 배경음악을 통한 문화교육의 요소들을 살펴본다. 또한 설문을 이용하여 영화 ‘국제시장’을 통하여 외국인 학습자들의 한국 문화에 대한 이해의 정도를 알아보며, 과제학습으로 소그룹의 형태로서 한국의 정서 문화를 이해할 수 있는 또 다른 영화를 찾아보고 토론을 하도록 하였다.

영문 초록

We tried to provide Korean culture education by using the lines of the film ‘Kookjea Market’. The film ‘Kookjea Market’ consists of stories that can be understood by Korean sentiment and modern private areas formed under the historical background of traditional Confucian culture in Korea. There is no question that the purpose of learning a language is to communicate smoothly. In fact, to communicate smoothly, it is necessary to understand the emotional culture of the target language which enables real communication. Therefore, we planed a lecture to understand and learn the core culture of Korean sentiment culture-Cheng, Han, Hyo, and father-centered culture-through the lines in the movie. First, learn about the historical facts of the North-South division from the 6.25 Korean War, the main background of the film. Second, in the learning phase, after watching the movie, learn culture and the day’s goal grammar in movie dialogues. Finally, the post-study phase, explanes the elements of cultural education through major events and background music from modern Korean history. In addition, through the film ‘Kookjea Market’, the survey was used to understand the degree of understanding of Korean culture by foreign learners, and to study and find out a good film for a small group discussion which allow them to understand Korean sentiment culture as their assignment.
