태국의 대표 산업과 무역 정책에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

태국은 동남아시아의 주요 중심지이자 경제국으로서 주변 역외 국가별 GDP를 비교할 때 인도네시아 다음 순위의 GDP 규모를 유지하고 있다. 더욱이 국내 시장에서 제조업을 비롯하여 유통업과 관광업이 상당히 발달하였고, 친 기업화 정책을 주요 경제 정책으로 표방하고 있다. 따라서 자국의 경제 성장 동력 마련과 발전을 위하여 물류업을 비롯하여 인프라 시설 확충과 R&D 기술 확대에 관한 장기적 계획을 구축하였고, 이를 지속적으로 시행하고 있다. 최근 들어 자국에서 한류 문화에 대한 관심과 인기가 높아지고 있는 가운데 한국과 태국 간 상호 교역량은 이전에 비하여 큰 변화가 없는 실정이다. 한편, 태국의 정치 현황을 살펴보면 군부 정부가 2014년부터 과도 정부 형태로 집권하고 있는 상황이며 정치적 안정감은 비교적 낮은 편이다. 이런 가운데 본 논문은 향후 태국의 주요한 내수 시장을 전망하고 진출 확대에 유용한 역내의 대표 산업과 관련 무역 정책들을 살펴보기 위하여 연구를 진행하였다.

영문 초록

Thailand is a major center and economy in Southeast Asia, with the next largest GDP in Indonesia compared to other offshore countries. Moreover, manufacturing, distribution, and tourism have developed considerably in the domestic market, and pro-business policies are the main economic policy. Therefore, Thailand has established a long-term plan for expanding logistics facilities, expanding infrastructure facilities, and expanding R & D technologies to prepare and develop its economic growth engines. Recently, the interest and popularity of the Korean Wave culture has increased in Thailand, and the amount of trade between Korea and Thailand has not changed much compared to the past. On the other hand, if you look at the political situation in Thailand, the military government has been in the form of a transitional government since 2014, and the political stability is relatively low. In this regard, this paper has conducted research to look into the major domestic market in the future and to examine the representative industries and related trade policies in the region, which are useful for expanding the market.
