대학생의 스마트폰 집착 이유 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 예방 및 교육 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 이루어졌다. 연구 대상은 경북에 위치한 D대학교 재학생 119명이었다. 연구방법은 설문지를 이용한 조사연구로 스마트폰 사용 실태와 관련된 6문항은 폐쇄형 문항으로 SPSS 12.0을 통한 통계처리를 하였다. 스마트폰에 집착하는 이유를 자유롭게 서술하도록 한 개방형 문항 1문항은 질적분석을 하였다. 연구의 결과를 다음과 같이 제시한다. 첫째, 스마트폰 사용시간은 3~4시간 미만이 가장 많았고, 스마트폰 사용 동기는 주변 사람들과의 폭넓은 커뮤니케이션을 위해서가 가장 많았다. 남학생과 여학생 모두 스마트폰의 기능 중에서 SNS 사용이 가장 많았다. 대부분의 학생들이 스마트폰 중독의 위험성을 인지하고 있었으며, 스마트폰 사용 때문에 부모와 갈등을 경험한 비율이 더 높았으며, 스마트폰 중독 예방 교육을 받지 못한 경우가 더 많았다. 스마트폰 집착 이유를 기술한 개방형 문항을 분석한 결과에는 불안 및 우울, 유익 및 즐거움, 인간관계, 이렇게 3가지 범주로 요약될 수 있다. 이상의 결론을 근거로 후속연구를 위한 제언을 실시하였다.

영문 초록

This study is aimed at preventing smartphone addiction and developing education programs for university students. The study included 119 students enrolled at D University in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. The research method was a survey using questionnaire, and six questions concerning the use of smartphones were closed, and statistics were processed through SPSS 12.0. Open question 1 that allows one to freely describe why one is obsessed with Smartphones was qualitative analysis. The results of the study are presented as follows: First, smartphone use times were the most common for less than three to four hours, and smartphone use incentives were the most for wider communication with people around the world. Both male students and female students used social network service(sns) the most among the functions of smartphones. Most students were aware of the dangers of smartphone addiction, more likely to experience conflicts with their parents due to their use of smartphones, and more often than not have been trained to prevent smartphone addiction. Analysis of open questions that describe reasons for Smartphone obsession can be summarized into three categories: anxiety and depression, benefits and enjoyment, and relationships. Based on the above conclusions, proposals were made for further study.
