대학생 디지털 시민성 측정도구 개발 및 타당화 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 고등교육 차원에서의 디지털 시민성 관련 연구가 매우 부족하다는 인식 아래 탈경계, 초연결의 시대 대학생의 디지털 시민성 함양을 위한 측정도구를 개발함으로써 교양 수준의 디지털 시민성 교육의 기초를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 이를 위해 디지털 시민성의 개념과 구성요소에 대한 문헌 연구, 하위 요인 설정 및 예비문항 개발, 전문가 내용타당도 검증, 측정도구의 구인타당도 검증(탐색적, 확인적 요인분석)을 실시하였다. 결과 그 결과 디지털 시민성 측정도구는 인지 영역 21문항(디지털 정보 및 사회 이해 7문항, 비판적 사고 5문항, 소프트웨어디자인 4문항, 표현능력 5문항), 정의 영역 20문항(디지털 에티켓 13문항, 적극적 참여와 동기부여 7문항), 행동 영역 27문항(갈등 및 문제 해결능력 8문항, 윤리적 사용 7문항, 정보 공유 및 변혁 추구 8문항, 사회적 책임 4문항)으로 총 68문항이 개발되었다. 결론 본 연구는 대학생을 위한 디지털 시민성 측정도구를 개발하고 타당화 했다는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 본 도구는 디지털 시민성 교육을 위한 방향 모색, 디지털 시민성 강화 프로그램 개발, 프로그램 효과 분석 등에 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to establish the basis of digital citizenship education as general education by developing the measurement tool for cultivating digital citizenship of college students in the trans-boundary and hyper-connected era considering that it is very lacking in the researches related to digital citizenship in the level of higher education. Methods For this, this study conducted the literary review on the concept and elements of digital citizenship, set up the subfactors, developed the preliminary items, verified the content validity with experts, and verified the construct validity of the measurement(exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis) tool. Results As a result, the digital citizenship measurement tool was composed of total 68 items such as 21 items of cognitive area(7 items of understanding of digital information & society, 5 items of critical thinking, 4 items of software design, 5 items of expressive ability), 20 items of justice area(13 items of digital etiquette, 7 items of active participation and motivation), and 27 items of behavioral area(8 items of conflict/problem-solving ability, 7 items of ethical use, 8 items of pursuit of information sharing & change, 4 items of social responsibility). Conclusions This study is significant in the aspect of developing and validating the digital citizenship measurement tool for college students. This tool could be utilized for seeking for the direction of digital citizenship education, developing programs for strengthening digital citizenship, and analyzing the effects of programs.
