국문 초록

이 연구는 중국인 유학생의 진로정체감, 문화적응 스트레스, 진로결정수준, 사이의 관계를 분석하고, 더 나아가 진로정체감과 진로결정수준 사이에서 문화적응 스트레스의 매개 역할을 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 대상은 서울 지역에서 어학당 또는 대학교에 재학 중인 학부 및 대학원생 848명으로, 이들로부터 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 매개회귀분석, 그리고 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 진로정체감과 진로결정수준 사이에 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났으며, 진로정체감과 문화적응 스트레스, 그리고 문화적응 스트레스와 진로결정수준 사이에서 유의한 부적 상관관계가 확인되었다. 둘째, 진로정체감이 진로결정수준에 미치는 과정에서 문화적응 스트레스가 매개 역할을 하였고, 이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 한국에서 공부하고 있는 중국인 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스를 완화하기 위한 실질적인 방안 마련의 필요성을 강조한다. 구체적으로, 대학 내 중국어 심리 상담센터를 설립하여 유학생들에게 적절한 상담과 지원을 제공함으로써 문화적응에서 겪는 스트레스를 줄이는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 또한, 유학생들의 문화적응 스트레스를 완화하기 위해 대학 차원에서 오리엔테이션 프로그램을 강화하고, 학생들의 학교생활 적응을 돕기 위한 동아리 활동 활성화 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the relationship among career identity, career decision-making levels, and cultural adaptation stress among Chinese studentsin Korea, and to determine whether cultural adaptation stress mediates the relationship between career identity and career decision-making levels. The study participants consisted of 848 undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in language institutes or universities in the Seoul area. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, mediating regression analysis, and the Sobel test. The results of the study are as follows: First, a significant positive correlation was found between career identity and career decision-making levels, while significant negative correlations were observed between career identity and cultural adaptation stress, as well as between cultural adaptation stress and career decision-making levels. Second, cultural adaptation stress was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between career identity and career decision-making levels, and this effect was statistically significant. These findings highlight the need for practical measures to alleviate the cultural adaptation stress experienced by Chinese students in Korea. Specifically, it is recommended that universities establish Chinese-language psychological counseling centers to provide appropriate counseling and support for Chinese students, thereby helping them reduce the stress associated with cultural adaptation. Additionally, it is suggested that universities strengthen orientation programs and promote extracurricular activities, such as student clubs, to support students’ adaptation to campus life and reduce their cultural adaptation stress.
