국문 초록

본 연구는 실용음악학과의 역량기반 전공교육과정을 어떻게 개발할 것인지 K대학교의 사례를 통해 하나의 모형을 제시하는 글이다. 전 세계적으로 열광하는 K-pop의 영향으로 인해 대한민국의 대중음악 교육의 중요성은 그 어느 때보다도 절실하다. 교육부에서 내세운 성과 중심 역량기반의 교육과정은 어느덧 20여 년이 지났지만, 국내 실용음악학과의 경우 이러한 세계화에 걸맞지 않은 편향된 교육 운영체계로 인해서 음악 산업과 소통을 하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 실용음악과의 적용 가능한 올바른 NCS(국가직무능력표준)를 이해하고 이를 기반으로 한 교육과정을 개발하여야 한다. K대학교 실용음악학과의 전공교육과정의 개발 과정은 역량을 중심으로 하였으며 ADDIE 모형에서 보완된 ‘분석-모델링-도출-개발’ 단계를 통해 구체적인 교육과정을 살펴보았다. 분석단계에서는 전공과 관련된 사회 수요를 분석하고 산업·직업·직무상의 분류를 통해 학과 관련 분야의 위치를 조사하여 인력양성유형을 선정하였다. 모델링 단계에서는 분석을 통해서 나타난 직무역량 모델의 초안을 기반으로 교수, 재학생, 산업체를 대상으로 설문 조사를 시행하였고 그 결과를 통해 직무역량 모델을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해서 도출단계에서는 검증된 직무역량 모델을 통해서 전공역량 모델의 확정 및 전공역량 도출과 정의서를 나타냈으며 마지막 개발 단계에서는 도출된 직무역량과 전공역량을 통해 전공 교육내용 및 교과목을 확정하였고 K대학교의 핵심역량인 ‘창의융합역량’, ‘전문역량’, ‘시민의식’, ‘소통역량’, ‘협업역량’이 잘 반영되었는지를 확인하였다. 마지막으로 실용음악학과의 역량기반 전공 교육이 더 효과적으로 운영되기 위해서는 몇 가지의 사안을 해결해야만 한다. 먼저 사회·산업 수요를 반영하여 전문적인 교육을 전담할 수 있는 시스템과 인력의 확보가 중요하다. 이러한 시스템과 전문교육 인력이 확보된다면 실용음악학과 역량기반 전공교육과정은 명확한 방향성과 함께 현장감을 반영할 수 있는 내실 있는 운영이 가능해질 것이다. 앞으로 실용음악학과 전공 교육에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되어 세계적인 음악 인재를 배출해 낼 수 있는 전공 교육이 이뤄지기를 바란다.

영문 초록

This research study proposes a model of how the applied music major’s competency-based major curriculum should be developed through the case of K University. The importance of pop music today is essential than ever before, owing to the influence of K-pop, a genre that has come to be marveled by people worldwide. More than 20 years have passed since the Ministry of Education put forth the result-centered skill-based curriculum. However, in reality, the domestic applied music majors still cannot communicate with the music industry because of the biased education management system, which is unsuitable for globalization. The development process of the major education system of K University is centered on skills. It specifically sought curriculum through an “analysis- modeling-induction-development” step improved by the ADDIE model. In the analysis step, social demands regarding the major are investigated, and human resource development models are selected by surveying the position of major-related fields via the categorization of industry, occupation, and work. In the modeling step, surveys of professors, students, and industries were conducted based on the work skill model shown through analysis, and the respective model is verified through the results. The research results show that, in the induction step, through the verified work skill model, the major skill model is finalized, and the major skill inducement is shown. In the final development step, the educational content and courses are finalized according to work and major skills, checked whether the key skills of K university—“creative conversion skills,” “professional skills,” “civil conscience,” “communication skills,” and “cooperation skills”—are included. Finally, to run the skill-based major education efficiently, some issues must be resolved. First, it is important to apply the social and industrial demands and maintain a system that can sustain professional education and human resources. By maintaining this system and the professional human resources, the applied music skill-based major curriculum can be operated stably by adopting a clear direction and using practical insights. We hope to see extensive research related to the applied music major curriculum so that the curriculum helps produce global musical talents.
