한국어 구어 중심 활동과 이야기 쓰기 능력의 상관 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학습자 변인이 전혀 통제되지 않은 유학생 전용 한국어 수업에서 실시한 다양한 구어 중심 활동이 학습자의 쓰기 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명해 봄으로써 학부 한국어 관련 교과목 개발 및 수업 운영에 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 여러 유형의 구어 중심 활동으로 교육 내용을 구성한 실제 수업에서 ‘이야기’ 쓰기로 사전·사후 테스트를 실시하여 본고에서 설정한 평가 준거로 두 명의 평가자가 쓰기 결과물을 채점한 후 그 결과를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 내용 및 과제 수행 영역과 전개 구조 영역에서는 긍정적인 변화가 있었으며 언어 사용 영역에서는 사전 사후 평균 간에 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 비교 집단이 없기 때문에 구어 중심 활동이 ‘이야기’ 쓰기 능력 발달에 영향을 미쳤다고 단정할 수 없으나 적어도 중급 수준 이상의 유학생에게서 특정 영역에서의 쓰기 능력 발달을 포착하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide implications for the development of Korean language-related subjects and the operation of classes in an undergraduate department by identifying how the various spoken language-oriented activities conducted in Korean language classes that are not controlled by learners variables. To this end, the results of the scoring were analyzed statistically by pre- and post-testing with writing a “story” in actual classes that were designed to include various types of spoken language-oriented activities. The analysis found that while there were positive changes in terms of content and task performances and of the structure of deployment, there was no significant difference between pre-post means in the category of language use. The absence of a comparative group does not warrant the development of “story”-writing skills; nevertheless, the significance of this study is that we have detected the development of writing skills in certain areas from students of at least an intermediate level, which can be used for developing curricula and conducting lectures.
