국문 초록

본 연구는 학문목적 학습자들의 어휘 추측 전략 학습을 위한 연습 과제를 개발하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 학문목적 고급 학습자 50명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 학습자들의 어휘 추측 전략 학습과 전략 연습 과제에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 분석을 통해 학습자 어휘 추측 성공에 영향을 미치는 요소는 한국어 숙달도와 연습 과제의 활용 경험으로 확인되었으며, 학습자들이 전략 학습과 연습의 중요성을 인지하고 있음을 확인하였다. 연구의 결과로 전략 연습 과제 개발 시 유의점을 제안하여 연습 과제를 5가지 유형으로 개발하였다. 이러한 시도는 기존 연구에서 어휘 추측 전략 사용 양상 및 유형을 조사하는 계량적인 연구와 차별화되며, 학습자 요구에서 출발하여 전략 학습을 위한 연습 과제의 부재 상황을 보완한 연구로 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop the learning tasks of vocabulary-inferencing strategies for academic-purpose learners. To this end, a survey of 50 advanced learners for academic purposes was conducted to examine learners’ perceptions of the learning of vocabulary-inferencing strategies and strategy practice tasks. Through the analysis, the factors influencing the success of the learner s vocabulary conjecture were identified based on their proficiency in the Korean language and their experience in the use of practice tasks, confirming that the learners were aware of the importance of learning and practicing strategies. As a result of the study, significant points have been proposed for developing a strategic exercise task, with such development encompassing five types. These attempts differ from quantitative studies that examine patterns and types of use of vocabulary inferencing strategies in existing studies. The research is meaningful in that it complements the absence of exercise tasks for strategic learning and is based on the needs of learners.
