초기 청소년의 휴대전화의존, 주의집중문제, 학습활동의 구조적 관계 종단연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 종단 자료를 이용하여 초기 청소년의 휴대전화의존, 주의집중문제, 학습활동이 시간의 경과에 따라 어떻게 변화하는지 그리고 세 변인 사이의 구조적 관계가 어떠한지를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 선행연구를 근거로 휴대전화의존, 주의집중문제, 학습활동 사이의 관계를 연구 모형으로 설정하였고, 다변량 잠재성장모형을 적용하여 검증하였다. 연구 자료는 한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 2010 초1 패널자료의 4차(초4학년, 2013년), 6차(초6학년, 2015년), 7차(중1학년, 2016년)의 자료를 활용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 초4학년에서 중1학년에 이르는 동안 휴대전화의존은 점차 감소하였고, 학습활동은 점차 증가하였으며, 주의집중문제는 점차 감소하였다. 둘째, 초4학년에서 휴대전화의존이 심한 학생은 주의집중문제도 심하고, 중1학년으로 올라가면서 휴대전화의존이 점점 심해지면 주의집중문제도 함께 심해졌다. 셋째, 초4학년에서 휴대전화의존이 심한 학생은 학습활동이 부진하며, 중1학년으로 올라가면서 휴대전화의존이 점점 높아지면 학습활동도 점점 부진해졌다. 넷째, 초4학년에서 주의집중문제가 심한 학생은 학습활동이 부진하며, 중1학년으로 올라가면서 주의집중문제가 점점 심해지면 학습활동은 점점 부진해졌다. 끝으로 연구 결과에 대해 논의하였고, 본 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구에 대해 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify how mobile phone dependence, attention problems, and learning activities of early adolescents change over time using longitudinal data. Also, this study attempted to confirm the structural relationship between the three variables. To this end, the relationship between cell phone dependence, attention problems, and learning activities was established as a research model based on the previous studies. And the research model was verified by applying a multivariate latent growth model. For the research data, the 4th(elementary 4th grade, 2013), 6th(elementary 6th grade, 2015), and 7th(middle 1st grade,2016) data of the elementary school 1 panel data were used in the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2010. As a result of the study, first, cell phone dependence gradually decreased, learning activity gradually increased, and attention problem of gradually decreased from elementary 4th grade to middle 1st grade. Second, in elementary 4th grade, students with severe cell phone dependence also had a serious attention problem. And as they moved up to middle 1st grade, as mobile phone dependence became more and more severe, attention problem also intensified. Third, in elementary 4th grade, students with severe cell phone dependence suffered poor learning activities. And as they moved up to middle school, as their cell phone dependence increased, their learning activities became weaker. Fourth, in elementary 4th grade, students with severe attention problems have sluggish learning activities. And as they move up to middle school, as their attention problems became more serious, learning activities became more and more sluggish. Finally, the results of the study were discussed, and some suggestions were presented on the limitations of this study and future studies.
