초등학교 1학년 ADHD 아동을 대상으로 한 작업기억 향상 프로그램 개발 및 적용

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 ADHD(attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) 초등학교 1학년 아동을 대상으로 작업기억 향상 프로그램을 개발하고, 적용 가능성을 확인하는 것이다. 2010년부터 2018년까지 국내 및 국외 학술지에 발표된 아동 대상 ADHD 작업기억 프로그램 관련 논문 총 19편의 연구들을 고찰하였다. 이를 통해, Baddeley의 작업기억 다중요소 모형을 기초로 하여 음운루프, 시공간스케치패드, 중앙집행기 영역으로 프로그램을 구성하여 40분씩, 주 2회, 총 12회기의 작업기억 향상 프로그램을 개발하고 실시하였다. 단일사례에 적용한 결과, 작업기억 검사의 하위 요소에서 전반적인 총점이 모두 상승하였고, 부주의 및 과잉행동-충동성을 포함하는 ADHD 증상이 감소되었다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터기반 작업기억 훈련 프로그램의 단점을 보완하고, 상담 장면에서 상담자가 면대 면으로 시행하는 작업기억 향상 프로그램을 개발하였다는데 의의가 있다. 후속 연구에서는 사례연구에서 벗어나 ADHD 아동의 하위 유형별 혹은 지능의 특성에 따른 프로그램의 개발이 필요하고, 근전이 및 원전이 효과가 있는지에 대한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a working memory improvement program for children with ADHD(attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder) in the first grade elementary school and to confirm the applicability. A total of 19 studies related to the ADHD working memory program for children presented in journals from 2010 to 2018 were reviewed. As a result, based on Baddeley s working memory model, program contents are composed of phonological loop, visuospatial sketchpad and central executive. The total number of sessions consisted of 12 sessions during the 6 week period, which is 2 sessions in a week and each session lasted for 40 minutes. This focused on the first grade elementary school children who could intervene early in adolescent or adulthood ADHD children s learning and adjustment problems. In addition, this study was significant in that a program was developed for improving working memory in counseling by supplementing the shortcomings of the computer based working memory training program. Korean ADHD Rating Scale, Sookmyung working memory test were employed for testing effectiveness of the program in this study. As a result, the overall score in the sub-elements of working memory test increased. Furthermore, it was found that the ADHD symptoms, inattentive and hyperactivity-impulsive symptom in children with ADHD were decreased. It is necessary for the future research to study the development of the program according to the subtypes of the ADHD children or the characteristics of the intelligence, and near and far transfer effects of the program.
