유아교사의 다문화 태도와 다문화 효능감이 다문화 유아-교사 관계에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 다문화 태도와 다문화 효능감이 다문화 유아-교사와의 관계에 어떠한 경로로 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 현재 다문화 유아를 지도하는 담임교사로서 연구 참여에 동의한 우리나라 어린이집과 유치원 교사 300명을 대상으로 2017년 10월에서 12월 사이에 조사한 본 연구의 결과를 종속변인인 다문화 유아-교사 관계를 중심으로 살펴보면, 다문화 유아-교사 관계는 유아교사의 다문화 태도와 유의한 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타난 반면 다문화 효능감과의 상관은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 경로분석결과, 다문화 효능감은 다문화 태도에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치며 다문화 태도는 다문화 유아-교사와의 관계에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 과정에서 다문화 태도에 의한 유의한 정적인 영향력이 있는 완전매개효과가 나타났다. 반면 다문화 효능감의 매개효과 검증 결과, 다문화 태도는 다문화 효능감에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치지만 다문화 효능감이 다문화 유아-교사와의 관계에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이 과정에서 다문화 효능감에 의한 매개효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 세 변인 간 관계에 대한 이해를 돕고 더 나아가 바람직한 다문화 유아-교사와의 관계 신장 방안 마련을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the relation between infant teacher’s multicultural efficacy, infant teacher’s multicultural attitude, and multicultural infant-teacher relationship in Korea, focusing on effects of infant teacher’s multicultural efficacy and multicultural attitude. The participants were 300 infant teachers in Korea. The results showed that multicultural infant-teacher relationship was positively correlated to infant teacher’s multicultural attitude only. The results of path analysis were that infant teacher’s multicultural attitude had full medicating effect on the relation between infant teacher’s multicultural efficacy and multicultural infant-teacher relationship. Also, infant teacher’s multicultural efficacy had not medicating effect on the relation between infant teacher’s multicultural attitude and multicultural infant-teacher relationship. These results can be used to understand multicultural infant-teacher relationship and the effect of infant teacher’s multicultural efficacy and multicultural attitude on multicultural infant-teacher relationship. In addition, these results can be used to develop multicultural infant-teacher relationship’s intervention programs in Korea.
