국문 초록

본 연구는 부모의 양육태도(따스함, 자율성지지, 구조제공), 그릿, 학업열의와 학업성취도 간의 관계를 구조모형으로 검증하고 학교급에 따른 차이를 다집단 분석하였다. 연구대상은 ‘2018년 한국아동･청소년 패널조사’자료에서 수집된 전국의 초등학교 4학년 2,399명과 중학교 1학년 2,541명으로 총 4,940명의 데이터가 활용되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 따스함, 자율성 지지, 그릿, 학업열의는 학업성취도에 직접적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부모의 따스함, 자율성 지지, 구조제공은 학업열의에 모두 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 부모의 따스함과 구조제공은 그릿에도 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 부모의 따스함, 자율성지지, 구조제공은 그릿을 매개로 학업성취도에 유의한 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 학교급에 따른 다집단 분석 결과, 초등학생 집단에서는 부모의 자율성 지지가 그릿과 학업열의에 유의한 영향을 보였다. 또한 초등학생의 그릿이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향에서 중학생 집단과의 차이가 있었다. 반면 중학생 집단에서는 부모의 따스함이 중학생의 학업성취도에 유의한 영향을 보였다. 그리고 중학생의 학업열의가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력이 초등학생 집단보다 더 높게 반응했다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 학생들의 발달적 특성에 따라 학업성취도를 높이는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 부모의 역할에 대한 함의를 논하였다.

영문 초록

This study was investigated the relationship among parenting style (warmth, autonomy support, structure provision), grit, academic engagement and academic achievement with a structural equation model and analyzed differences in school level in a multi-group analysis. A total of 4,940 people s data were used for the study, 2,399 fourth graders in elementary schools and 2,541 first graders in middle schools across the country, which were collected from the 2018 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey. The results of the study are as follows. First, the warmth and structure provision of parents who were perceived for elementary and middle school students had a significant effect on their academic achievement through mediation of grit. Second, as a result of a multi-group analysis based on school level, the parents support autonomy in elementary school groups had a significant effect on their academic performance through mediation of grit and academic engagement, and the parents structure provision showed a significant effect on their academic achievement through mediation of grit. There was also a difference from the group of middle school students in the effect of grit in elementary school on academic achievement. In the middle school group, the warmth of parents showed a significant effect on academic achievement through mediation of academic engagement. And the influence of academic engagement on academic achievement was higher than that of elementary school students. The implications of these results were discussed.
