일과 학업을 병행하는 교육대학원 학생들의 경험 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 일과 학업을 병행하는 교육대학원 여학생들의 어려움 극복 경험에 대해서 탐색하고자 함에 있다. 이를 위해 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(Focus Group Interview)를 사용하여 일과 학업을 병행하면서 교육대학원에 재학 중인 교육대학원 여학생 6명을 대상으로 어려움 극복 경험에 대해서 살펴보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 3개 주제, 5개 범주, 12개 하위범주가 도출되었다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일과 학업 병행을 통해 경험하는 어려움에서는 직장에서의 어려움, 학업과 관련된 어려움의 2개 범주로 나타났다. 둘째, 어려움 경험 시 심리에서는 부정적 심리 경험 1개 범주로 나타났다. 부정적 심리 경험에서는 자책과 비난, 타인과의 비교의 2개 하위범주가 도출되었다. 셋째, 어려움을 극복하기 위한 내적 노력에서는 나에게 친절하려고 노력, 객관적으로 자기를 인식하려고 노력의 2개 범주로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과에 대해서 논의하고 본 연구의 결과가 일과 학업을 병행하는 교육대학원 여학생들을 대상으로 한 심리·정서적 지원에 시사하는 바와 향후 연구에 대한 제안점에 대해서 기술하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of overcoming difficulties of female students with work and study in graduate school of education. For this purpose, 6 female students with work and study attending graduate school of education were investigated using focus group interview method. As a result, three themes, five categories, and twelve sub categories were derived. The results are as follows. First, the difficulties experiencing as students attending graduate school of education appeared in two categories: difficulty at work and difficulty related to study. Second, in psychological experience of difficulty, negative psychological experience was revealed as one category. In the negative psychological experience, two subcategories of feeling guilty and criticism, and comparison with others were derived. Third, in internal efforts to overcome difficulties, there were two categories: effort to be kind to me, and effort to aware oneself objectively. Finally, the results of this study were discussed and the implications of the psychological and emotional support for the female students with work and study attending graduate school of education and suggestions for future research were described.
