교원양성대학 환경교육 관련 교육과정 현황 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 교원양성대학에서의 환경교육 교과목 현황을 조사하여 분석하는 것이다. 조사대상은 교원양성대학이며 이 연구에서는 초등에서의 13개 대학과 중등 60개 대학, 유아의 98개 대학을 합한 156개 대학(중복 포함)을 모집단으로 하였다. 표본의 지역적 대표성을 위해 경인권, 강원·제주, 충청권, 경상권, 전라권 지역별로 학교가 골고루 포함되도록 하였고, 학교급별 형평성을 위하여 조사 대학의 수를 비슷하게 조정하였다. 최종적으로 유아교원양성대학 15개, 초등교원양성대학 13개, 중등교원양성대학 13개로 총 41개 대학을 유층표집하였다. 표집된 대학의 교육과정을 조사하여 환경교과목 조사틀에 따라 2019년 5월 27일부터 2019년 6월 25일까지 교과목 자료를 수집하였으며 이를 학교급별 및 지역별 기술통계, 교육과정 교육내용 분석, 교과목 명칭의 텍스트 마이닝, 교수요목에 대한 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교급별 교원양성대학 환경교육 교과목은 전체 교과목 대비 1.15~2.19% 정도로 미비하였고 특히 유아 교원양성대학에서의 환경관련 전공 교과목이 적었다. 둘째, 교원양성대학 환경교육 교과목은 지역별로 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 교원양성대학 환경교과목의 교육내용으로는 자연환경, 환경오염, 인공환경, 환경보전과 대책, 환경기술 등을 주로 다루었고, 예비교사의 환경관련 지식 및 소양을 증진시키는 것을 목적으로 하는 교과목은 모든 대학에 있었으나 예비교사의 교육역량 개발을 목적으로 하는 교과목은 상대적으로 적었다. 넷째, 환경교육 교과목 명칭에 드러나는 주요 키워드와 환경을 중심으로 직접 연결되는 단어로는 인간, 지구, 에너지 등이 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the current status of environmental education curriculum in the teacher training institutes. The subject of this study is the teacher training universities/colleges. There are teacher training universities/colleges such as the university of Education, the College of Education, and the College of Teacher Training. The study consisted of 156 universities, with 13 universities of primary education, 45 universities of secondary education, and 98 colleges of early childhood education. For the regional representativeness of the sample, samples were included in Gyeongin, Gangwon, Jeju, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, and Jeonla provinces. Finally, 41 universities/colleges were collected from 15 colleges for early childhood education, 13 universities for elementary education, and 13 universities for secondary education. The curriculums of the samples were collected according to the research framework. The technical statistics by school level and region, curriculum content analysis, text mining of the name of the subject, and network analysis of the syllabus were conducted. The research results are as follows. First, the environmental education courses of teacher training institutes by the level of school were 1.15 ~ 2.19% and there were few environmental-related subjects in colleges of early childhood education. Second, there was no significant difference of environmental education courses between the regions. Third, the contents of the environmental subjects of the teacher training institutes were mainly dealing with the natural environment, environmental pollution, artificial environment, environmental preservation, and environmental technology. Courses aimed at improving pre-teachers environmental knowledge and a few courses aimed at developing pre-teachers educational capacity to guide environmental education in the class. Fourth, ‘human’, ‘earth’, and ‘energy’ were the words that are directly connected to the main key-word ‘environment’.
