TIMSS 2019에서 eTIMSS 평가문항의 도입과 활용에 대한 초등 교사들의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 IEA에서 주관하는 TIMSS 2019 평가에서 컴퓨터 기반 평가인 eTIMSS 평가와 eTIMSS 평가 문항에 대한 초등학교 교사들의 인식을 알아보고자 한 것이다. 본 연구에 참여한 초등학교 교사들은 총 11명으로 TIMSS 2019 예비 문항의 경우에는 보안 문항이라는 특수성을 갖고 있기 때문에 많은 교사들의 인식을 동시에 탐색하기 어렵다는 한계점을 고려하여 보안 서약서를 작성한 후, TIMSS 2019 예비 문항의 검토에 참여한 초등 교사들을 전문가로 선정하여 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하였다. 포커스 그룹 인터뷰는 일반 문항으로 구성된 검사와 PSIs로 구성된 검사에 동시에 응답한 교사들을 대상으로 진행하였으며, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 위해서 사전에 학생 설문지를 토대로 반 구조화된 인터뷰 질문지를 개발하였고, 교사용 질문지를 활용하여 연구에 참여한 교사들이 자유롭게 의사 표현을 할 수 있도록 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 본 연구 결과, 초등학교 학생들의 컴퓨터 기반 다양한 활동을 할 수 있는 ICT 교수 학습 환경과 교육 시스템을 구축하고 이에 적절한 교수 -학습 전략을 제공할 필요가 있다. 그리고, 컴퓨터 기반 교수 학습 활동을 통해서 초등학교 학생들의 오개념을 분석하고 과학적 탐구 능력과 문제 해결 능력을 기를 수 있는 다양한 컴퓨터 기반 과학 교수 학습 방법이나 평가 모형의 개발을 기대할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 초등 교사들에게 컴퓨터 기반 교수 학습 방법 및 평가에 대한 전문성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 교사 연수 프로그램이 제공될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study focused on exploring the perception of elementary school teachers on eTIMSS Assessment (computer-based evaluation) and Assessment items in TIMSS 2019 evaluation in IEA. A total of 11 elementary school teachers participated in the study, and conducted a focus group interview(FGI) for experts teacher group who took a security pledge and participated in the preliminary question review, taking into account the limitations that the TIMSS 2019 preliminary question was difficult to simultaneously investigate the perceptions of many teachers due to the specificity of security items. The focus group interviews were conducted on teachers who responded to tests consisting of general questions and PSIs. In order to interview the focus group, they developed semi-structured questionnaires based on student questionnaires in advance, and interviewed teachers to freely express their opinions using teacher questionnaires. Through this study, it is necessary to establish a teaching and learning ICT environment and educational systems that can carry out various activities based on computer of elementary school students and to provide appropriate teaching-learning strategies. And, through computer-based teaching and learning activities, elementary school students can expect to develop various computer-based teaching and learning methods and Assessment Model that can develop scientific inquiry ability and problem solving ability as analyzing their misconception. Therefore, it is necessary to provide elementary school teachers with teacher training programs that can improve to develop their profession in computer-based teaching and learning methods and assessment.
