소집단 프로젝트 기반 평가 활동이 중학교 1학년 학생들의 수학 학습에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

과정 중심 평가에 대한 관심과 논의가 지속됨에 따라 평가 패러다임의 변화가 가속화되고 있다. 즉 학습을 위한 평가, 학습으로서의 평가의 역할이 더욱 중요시 되고 있으며, 이를 위한 방법으로 프로젝트 평가와 같은 과정 중심 평가 방법에 많은 관심 이 쏠리고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이질통제집단 설계를 적용하여 소집단 프로젝트 기반 평가가 수학 학습의 정의적, 인지적 측면에 미치는 영향에 대해서 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 경기도에 소재한 한 중학교의 1학년 2개 학급의 학생들을 대상으로 이 루어졌고, 연구 결과에 의하면, 소집단 프로젝트 기반 평가는 소집단 문제해결 기반평가 방법 보다 학생들의 수학교과에 대한 가치인식 함양에 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 실험집단 학생들을 대상으로 이루어진 소집단 프로젝트 기반 평가에 대한 만족도 조사 결과에 의하면, 소집단 프로젝트 기반 평가 활동에서 좋았던 점으로는 동료들과의 협업 및 의소사통과 관련된 응답이 가장 많았고, 어려웠던 점으로는 의견조율 및 합리적인 의사결정을 위한 의사소통 과정에 대한 의견이 가장 많았다. 또 개선점으로는 시간적 제약 및 소집단 편성과 관련된 의견이 주를 이루었다.

영문 초록

As interest and discussion on process-focused assessments continues, changes in the assessment paradigm are accelerating. In other words, the role of assessment for learning and assessment as learning is becoming more important, and for this, much attention is being paid to process-focused assessment methods such as project assessment. This study investigated the effects of the assessment activities on the mathematics learning of 7th grade students in affective and cognitive domains. For this purpose, this study was conducted through regular mathematics class hours in two classes at a middle school in Gyeonggi Province by applying a heterogeneous control group design. The findings showed that small group project-based assessment is more effective for recognition of the value of mathematics than small group problem-solving based assessment method. There was no significant difference between experimental and control groups in cognitive domain. According to the results of the satisfaction survey on small group project-based assessment conducted by experimental group students, many students gave responses related to collaboration and communication with colleagues as good experiences through small group project-based assessment. And the most difficult part that students experienced during small group project-based assessment was the communication process for coordination and rational decision making. In addition, regarding the improvement of project-based assessments performed in this study, opinions related to time constraints and group composition were focused. These findings gave some implications for performing small group project-based assessment.
