국문 초록

플립러닝에서는 특히 적극적인 학습자의 역할이 요구된다. 이에 최근 플립러닝에서 학습참여와 성과를 촉진하는 학습자의 다양한 특성에 대한 탐구의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 플립러닝 환경에서 학습자 특성인 그릿(노력지속, 흥미유지), 협력지향성과 학습성과인 문제해결력 간의 관계에서 참여도(사전학습, 교실수업)의 매개효과를 규명하여, 성공적인 플립러닝을 위한 교수설계적 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이에 플립러닝 과목을 수강하는 학부생 43명을 대상으로 2018년 12월에 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 사전학습 참여도는 노력지속과 문제해결력 간의 관계, 협력지향성과 문제해결력 간의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교실수업 참여도는 노력지속과 문제해결력 간의 관계, 흥미유지와 문제해결력 간의 관계를 부분매개하였다. 이러한 결과는 대학 플립러닝 환경에서 문제해결력을 함양하기 위해 학습자의 그릿, 협력지향성, 사전학습 및 교실수업 참여도를 고려하여 학습효과를 촉진할 수 있도록 지원하는 교수설계 전략이 요구된다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Flipped learning requires learners’ active participation, which leads to the investigation of the various learner characteristics that promote learning engagement in the flipped learning environment. The purpose of this study is to provide instructional design suggestions for successful flipped learning by examining the mediating effects of learners’ level of engagement before and during classroom learning. Predicting variables are grit(perseverance of effort, consistency of interest) and collaboration preference, and criterion variable is problem-solving ability. Data were collected in December 2018 from 43 undergraduates who enrolled in a university flipped learning course. The results showed that the prior learning engagement partially mediated the relationship between the perseverance of effort and problem-solving ability, and the relationship between collaboration preference and problem-solving ability. Also, classroom engagement partially mediated the relationship between the perseverance of effort and problem-solving ability, and the relationship between consistency of interest and problem-solving ability. Thus, in order to promote problem-solving ability in the university flipped learning environment, teaching strategies facilitating learners’ perseverance of effort, consistency of interest, collaboration preference and engagement are needed.
