어린이 실외 놀이터 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어린이 실외 놀이터 연구의 동향을 연구 연도, 학술지 분야, 놀이터 유형, 연구 유형, 연구 주제에 따라 분석하여 어린이 실외 놀이터 연구의 연구 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 2000년부터 2018년까지 한국연구재단 등재 (후보)지에 게재된 어린이 실외 놀이터 연구 120편이다. 어린이 실외 놀이터 연구의 연도별 동향을 보면, 매년 평균 6.3편으로, 2004년까지는 2-3편으로 미흡하게 수행되었으나 2006년부터 크게 증가하기 시작하였고 2017년 이후는 더욱 활성화되었다. 학술지 분야의 동향은 다양한 학문 분야에서 수행되어, 건축/디자인 분야에서 가장 많이 연구된 반면, 유아교육/교육 분야에서는 상대적으로 적게 이루어졌다. 놀이터 유형의 동향은 동네놀이터 및 공원놀이터 등 유아교육기관 외 놀이터가 가장 많이 연구되었으나 유치원과 어린이집을 포함하는 유아교육기관 놀이터 연구는 상대적으로 덜 수행되었다. 연구 유형의 동향은 양적 연구의 비중이 가장 컸고, 이어서 디자인 사례 연구, 질적 연구, 문헌 연구의 순이었다. 연구 주제의 동향은 놀이터 계획과 놀이터 안전이 큰 비중을 차지하였고 다음으로 놀이터 평가, 놀이터 특성의 순이며 놀이터 의미와 놀이터 행동에 대한 연구는 미흡하였다. 각 연구 문제별로 논의를 전개하고 어린이 실외 놀이터 연구의 활성화 방안을 모색하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends of the children s outdoor playground research and present the direction of the children s outdoor playground research. Subject to the study are 120 children s outdoor playground research published on the Korea Research Foundation s list from 2000 to 2018. An average of 6.3 children s outdoor playground studies were conducted each year, compared with 2-3 until 2004, but began to increase significantly in 2006 and became more active after 2017. The field of academic journals varied, with the largest number of architectural/design areas, while the field of early childhood education/education was relatively small. The number of non-early childhood education institutions playground research was the largest, while that of early childhood education institutions playgrounds was relatively small. Quantitative research was the most followed by design case study, qualitative research, and literature research. The themes of the study were playground planning and playground safety, followed by playground evaluation, playground characteristics, and the study on playground meaning and playground behavior was small. Discussions were developed for each research issues and measures were taken to promote research on outdoor playgrounds for children.
