유아의 또래상호작용, 인지능력, 자기조절능력이 유아교육기관 적응에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 유아의 또래상호작용, 인지능력, 자기조절 능력이 유아교육기관 적응에 미치는 영향력을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 유치원 및 어린이집에 재원중인 만 4-5세 유아 총 189명이었으며, 평균 월령은 63.83개월이었다. ‘유아 교육기관 적응 질문지’, ‘또래 놀이상호작용 척도’, ‘자기조절능력척도’, ‘K-ABC 검사도구’ 검사도구들을 통해 연구자료를 수집하였고 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관과 단계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 기관적응 능력과 또래상호작용, 인지능력, 자기조절 능력 간에 유의미한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 전체 기관적응 능력을 가장 강력하게 예측한 변인은 자기조절로 나타났고 이어서 또래상호작용이 추가적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 제반변인들의 하위영역이 기관적응에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 살펴본 결과 자기조절능력의 하위요인인 인지적 계획하기가 가장 강력한 예측변인으로 나타났으며 또래 상호작용의 하위요인인 놀이상호작용이 추가적인 예측변인으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effects of Peer interaction, Cognitive Ability, and Self-regulation on kindergartners’ School Adjustment. Participants were 189 children(mean age = 63.89 months) attending kindergartens and preschool in Korea. The study used the ‘The Preschool Adjustment Questionnaire: PAQ’, ‘Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale(PIPPS)’, ‘The Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children, Second Edition’ and the ‘Self-regulation Rating Scale for Young Children’ in collection of data. Collected data were analyzed through the SPSS 21.0 program and Pearson’s Correlation and Step-wise Multi Regression Analysis. Findings are as follows. First, there were positive correlations between children’s school adjustment and peer-interaction, cognitive ability and self regulation. Second, self-regulation was most predictable variable and language ability were addictive predictable variables affecting the young children’s school adjustment. Third, cognitive planning which subscale of self regulation was most predictable variable and play-interaction which subscale of peer-interaction was addictive predictable variables affecting the young children’s school adjustment.
