국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 실제 학교 내 대안교실에 참여한 학생들의 학습경험을 질적으로 밝힘으로써, 이후 학교 내 대안교육이 추구해야 할 방향성은 어떠한 것인지, 그리고 학교 내 대안교실의 실천에 있어 초점을 두어야 할 과제는 무엇인지 탐구하는 데 있 다. 연구방법으로는 전일제 학교 내 대안교실을 운영하고 있는 A고를 대상으로 질적사례연구를 수행하였다. 주된 자료수집 방법은 학교 내 대안교실에 참여한 이들의 경험을 직접 듣는 면담이었다. 연구참여자는 모두 7명으로, 이들에 대한 면담은 2019년 2월 17일부터 18일까지 2일간 집중적으로 이루어졌다. 학생들이 대안교실 참여를 통해 인식하는 학습경험은 1) 빈 자리에서 온전한 한 사람으로서 자기 자리 찾기, 2) 성장의 경험: 역량 그릇 만들기, 성공 경험이 주는 자신감, 배움의 재미, 3) 세상으로 나아가기: 진로개발, 세상 읽기, 관계 맺기로 나누어 구체적으로 서술하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같은 시사점을 갖는다. 첫째, 학교는 다양한 학생들을 포용할 수 있도록 유연한 방식의 교육을 지향해야 한다. 둘째, 학습이 버겁거나 괴로운 학생들을 위한 교육은 학습성의 회복을 우선적으로 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 학생의 학교 참여를 독려하고 지지하기 위해서는 관계가 살아있는 학교를 만드는 것이 필요하다. 넷째, 학습자가 주체로 설 수 있는 학습자 주도방식의 교육과정과 지역사회 협력 방안을 탐색하고 연구해야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to contribute to find a way to develop learner-centered method for alternative classroom in school by investigating qualitatively the learning experience of students participating in the alternative classroom in school. For the purpose, a qualitative case study was performed in A high school administering the alternative classroom in full-time school. The main method for data collection was the interview to investigate directly the experience of participants for alternative classroom. The participants were seven and the interviews were performed intensively for two days from 17 to 18 Feb. 2019. The learning experience from participation in the alternative classroom reported by students were stated in detail as follows: 1) To find a place for them as a whole person, 2) Experience of growth: Making capacity-vessel, Confidence acquired by experience of success, Pleasure of learning, 3) Going toward world: Career development, Reading world, Building relationship. The implications of these results are as follows: First, The school should aim for the education in a flexible way so that they include various students. Second, The education for students who feel burden or suffering in learning should take priority over the recovery of propensity. Third, the school accommodating the relationships is required to encourage and support students to engage in school. Fourth, A learning-directed learning process in which the learners play the role of subject and the measures to ensure the cooperation with community should be explored and developed.
