초등학생의 자존감 수준 및 안정성, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 잠재프로파일에 따른 자기결정성 동기 및 학업적 자아개념의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 개인 중심적 접근을 바탕으로 자존감 수준 및 안정성, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 하위 유형을 도출하였다. 또한 하위 유형의 특성을 탐색하기 위해 자기결정성 동기와 학업적 자아개념의 차이를 파악하였다. 이를 위해 G도에 중・소 도시에 위치한 3개 초등학교 5, 6학년 380명을 대상으로 하였고 설문지 배부와 수합에 2주의 시간이 걸렸으며 최종 303명(남: 46.5%, 여: 53.5%)을 대상으로 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 잠재프로파일 분석 결과 고수준 불안정형 (7.9%), 긍정형(35.7%), 부정형(9.9%), 저수준 불안정형(46.5%)의 4가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 도출된 유형별로 자기결정성 동기와 학업적 자아개념의 차이를 파악하기 위해 분산분석을 실시한 결과 외적조절, 내사된 조절 등의 통제동기에서는 긍정형이 다른 유형보다 유의하게 낮게 나타났으며 내적조절, 자율동기에서는 긍정형이 부정형보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 그리고 학업적 자아개념에서는 긍정형과 고수준 불안정형이 저수준 불안정형과 부정형보다 유의하게 높았으며 저수준 불안정형은 부정형보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 초등학생에게 긍정적인 유형과 교육적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore latent profiles of self-esteem level and stability, fear of negative evaluation and to investigate the differences in self-determination motivation and academic self-concept among profile groups. Applying latent profile analysis with 303 primary school students(5 to 6 graders), four distinct profiles of self-esteem level and stability, fear of negative evaluation: high level-unstable profile(7.9%, high/unstable/middle), positive profile(35.7%, high level/stable/low), negative profile(9.9%, low/unstable/high), and low level-unstable profile(46.5%, low/unstable/middle). Observed differences if self-determination motivation indicated that the positive profile was positively related to autonomous motivation. While the high level-unstable profile, negative profile and low level-unstable profile was positively related to control motivation. Also, the positive profile and high level-unstable profile was positively related to high academic self-concept. Finally practical and theoretical implications of self-esteem level and stability, fear of negative evaluation for our classroom settings were discussed.
