예비유아교사의 교직선택 동기와 대학생활적응 관계에서 사회적지지의 매개효과 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사를 대상으로 교직선택 동기와 대학생활적응 관계에서 사회적지지의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두고 광주지역에 소재한 G대학과 N대학교에 재학 중인 1～4학년 336명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 2018년 4월 2일부터 6일까지 한 주간에 걸쳐 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 설문 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 교직선택 동기의 능동적 및 물질적 동기와 친구 및 교수의 사회적지지는 대학생활적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교직선택 동기의 능동적 및 물질적 동기와 대학생활적응 관계에서 부모, 친구, 교수의 사회적지지 변인의 부분매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 예비유아교사들이 교사양성과정에서 적응해 유아교사로서 성장하는데 교직을 선택한 능동적 동기와 사회적지지는 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타나 유아교사 양성과정에서 교직을 선택한 능동적 동기를 강화하고 사회적지지를 유도할 수 있는 다양한 방안을 마련해 이를 적극적으로 추진해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

For the purpose of verifying the mediating effects of social support on the relation between motivation for the selection of teaching profession and adjustment to college life of preservice early childhood teachers, this study conducted a survey targeting total 336 students(1st-4th year) of G college and S university in Gwangju region for a week from April 2nd 2018 to April 6th 2018. The collected survey data was analyzed by using the SPSS Program, and the results of this study are as follows. First, the active & material motivation of motivation for the selection of teaching profession and the social support from peer and professor had positive effects on the adjustment to college life. Second, the partial mediating effects of social support from parents, peer, and professor on the relation between active & material motivation of motivation for the selection of teaching profession and adjustment to college life were significant. As the active motivation for the selection of teaching profession and the social support play the very essential roles in the growth of preservice early childhood teachers into early childhood teachers by adjusting to the teacher training course, it would be necessary to actively establish/perform the diverse measures that could strengthen the active motivation for the selection of teaching profession and also induce the social support in the training course of early childhood teachers.
