국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국 성인초기 자녀들이 자녀로서의 역할을 수행함에 있어 겪게 되는 부담감을 구성하는 요인을 도출하여 자녀역할부담 측정을 위한 척도 개발의 기초를 마련하는데 있다. 먼저 기존의 연구에서 자녀역할과 자녀역할부담에 대한 내 용이 부족하고 명확히 정의되지 않았으므로 이를 재정립하기 위해 문헌연구를 실시하였으며, 2016년 2월 초기 성인기의 자녀들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 자녀역할부담에 대한 77개의 문항을 추출하였으며, 내용타당도를 거쳐 부 적절한 문항을 제외하거나 수정하여 총 34문항으로 구성되었다. 마지막으로 2016년 4월부터 5월까지 초기 성인기 301명을 임의표집하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 총 5요인 27문항이 최종 예비문항으로 선정되었다. 각 요인은 구성 문항의 특성 에 따라 ‘부모의 간섭에 대한 부담’, ‘자녀책무에 대한 부담’, ‘진로기대에 대한 부담’, 보은에 대한 부담‘, 부양에 대한 부담’으로 분류되었다. 본 연구는 우리나라 자녀들이 가족 내 역할에 대한 부담감을 갖게 되는 과정 및 문화적 특성을 탐색하였고, 자녀역할부담 정도가 부모와 자녀의 관계의 질 및 심리상태에 영향을 많이 받게 된다는 점을 파악하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive the factors on the perceived burden of adult child s role in korean parent-child relationship and to establish the basis for the development of the scale to measure it. For this purpose, the literature review and interview was conducted in order to define Child s Role and The burden of child s role clearly, and to develop preliminary items. Then by conducting expert review, 43 items were deleted 26 items were corrected, and 34 items were extracted. In next study conducted to determine the factors of the perceived Burden of Child s Role, 301 early adulthood were randomly sampled and exploratory factor analysis was performed. As a result, final five factors and twenty seven items were selected for the Burden of Child s Role. The five factors determined through this study are as follows; the burden of parental interference , the burden of responsibility as child , the burden of career expectation , the burden of repaying parents sacrifice , and the burden of parental support . This study explored the process and the cultural characteristics that Korean adult child has the burden of child s role. Therefore, this study is expected to be used as an important basic data for the development of the burden of child s role scale in Korean family.
