융합인재교육 프로젝트 적용을 통한 영어 교수법 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 영어원어 수업운영에 대학 융합인재교육 방식을 접목하여 대학생의 창의력 함양 및 영어 듣기이해도에 어떠한 효과를 갖는지를 검증하였다. 연구의 대상은 경기도 소재의 4년제 대학교의 남여 재학생 46명으로서, 이들을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 구분하였다. 연구 결과, 영어원어수업에서 융합인재 교과 방식을 접목하여 적용한 실험집단은 기존에 실시되던 교과 융합인재 프로젝트수업의 비교집단과 비교하여 창의적 성격 하위차원 중 독립심과 개방성 및 영어 듣기이해도 사후점수에 유의한 향상 효과가 더 크게 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 각 집단의 전후 간 차이 값을 비교한 결과에서도 실험집단의 전후 간 차이가 비교집단보다 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결국 본 연구는 고등교육 분야의 융합인재교육에서 영어를 수단으로 한 수업사례 및 그 효과성을 검증한 경험적 연구로서 의의를 지니며, 대학 융합인재교육의 효과적인 교수방법과 창의융합교육에서 나타나는 영어의 도구적 적용 및 언어와 창의성 간의 관련성에 대한 기초자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

In this study, a college convergence talent education project was applied in English classes, and its effects on the creative personality and listening comprehension of college students were verified. The subjects included 46 students at a four-year university in the Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. The subjects were evenly divided into experimental and control groups, with the experimental group participating in 13 classes that implemented a convergence talent project s curriculum, and the control group participating in the same number of classes that implemented a general college English curriculum. The results showed that the experimental group had more significant improvement effects in independent spirit and openness among the sub-dimensions of creative personality and in the post-score of English listening comprehension compared to the control group. Comparisons of the before and after differences of each group also showed that the difference of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. This study has significance as an empirical study that verified the case and effectiveness of classes using English in convergence talent education in higher education. The results of this study provide basic data about the effective teaching methods of college convergence talent education, the instrumental application of English in creativity convergence education, and the relationship between language and creativity.
