문화관광축제 평가방법에 관한 현상학적 연구 축제감독을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 제도개선의 목소리가 커지고 있는 우리나라의 문화관광축제 평가방법에 관한 현황과 문제점, 개선의 방법 등을 현상학적 연구방법을 통하여 살펴보는 데에 의미가 있다. 문화관광축제 평가방법에 관한 그 동안의 연구들을 살펴보면 지역축제를 방문한 관람객들의 경험을 설문과 인터뷰를 통해 연구한 사례가 많아 관람객의 감상과 경험을 보는 데는 도움이 되었으나 연구주제에 대한 이해 혹은 축제 콘텐츠구성에 대한 이해가 적어 일정부분 한계를 가지고 이었다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 축제현장에서 오랜 실무경험을 쌓아온 20년차 이상의 축제 총감독들을 타겟으로 연구를 진행하였다. 또한 질적 연구방법론 중 경험의 의미와 본질적 구조를 밝히는 데 많이 활용되는 지오르지(Giorgi)의 현상학적 연구이론을 채택하였다. 현재 우리나라에서 왕성하게 활동하고 있는 20년차 이상의 축제감독 7명을 대상으로 2017년 11월부터 2018년 2월까지 본 연구를 진행하였다. 이에 대한 결과는 평가방법, 현장상황, 핵심적으로 드러나는 문제점, 향후 적용가능한 적합한 평가방법 등으로 압축되었으며 공통적으로 강력하게 제시되는 문제점들도 다수 드러났다. 이에 본 연구가 향후 문화관광축제의 완성도를 높이고 지역축제의 발전에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study is meaningful to examine the current status and problems of the evaluation method of culture and tourism festival in Korea, which is increasingly voiced by the institutional improvement, through phenomenological research methods. Looking at the previous studies on the evaluation method of culture and tourism festival, There were a lot of researches on the experience of the festival visitors through the questionnaires and interviews, so it was helpful to view the audience s appreciation and experience, but it was limited due to the understanding of the research topic or the composition of the festival contents. Therefore, this study aimed at festival general managers over 20 years who have accumulated long experience in festival scene. In addition, Giorgi s phenomenological study theory, which is widely used to clarify the meaning and essential structure of experience in qualitative research methodology, was adopted. This study was conducted from November 2017 to February 2018 for 7 festival directors who are active in Korea 20 years or more. The results were compressed into evaluation methods, field conditions, core problems, and appropriate evaluation methods in the future, and many common problems were presented. Therefore, this study is expected to enhance the completeness of cultural tourism festivals in the future and contribute to the development of local festivals.
