청소년기 열등감과 자기격려간의 관계 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년기 열등감과 자기격려간의 관계를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중·고등학생의 열등감과 자기격려간의 상관은 어떠한가? 둘째, 중·고등학생의 열등감이 자기격려에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?이다. 본 연구는 2016년 9월 20일부터 2016년 10월 5일까지 J도 S시에 소재한 B중학교와 K고등학교에 재학 중인 학생 총370명이다. 연구도구는 자기격려(인지적 자기격려, 행동적 자기격려, 정서적 자기격려)를 측정하기 위하여 노안영·정민(2007)이 사용한 자기 격려 척도와 열등감(신체적 열등감, 사회적 열등감, 가정적 열등감, 학업적 열등감)을 측정하기 위하여 김응만(1995)이 제작한 측정도구를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 자기격려와 열등감에 부적인 상관이 나타나 자기격려 점수가 높을수록 열등감이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 자기격려는 가정적 열등감에 부적인 영향을 있었으며, 학업적, 신체적, 사회적 열등감 순으로 나타났다. 즉, 중·고등학생의 열등감과 자기격려간에 상관이 있었다. 이처럼, 중·고등학생은 신체적으로는 성숙하지만 정서적으로 아직 덜 성숙한 상태이므로 자아정체감을 형성하는 과정에서 격려는 매우 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between adolescent s inferiority and self - encouragement. Research problems are as follows. First, what is the relationship between inferiority and self-encouragement of middle and high school students? Second, how does the inferiority of middle and high school students influence self-encouragement? This study is a total of 370 students from B middle school and K high school in Jido city from September 20, 2016 to October 5, 2016. Research instruments are self-encouragement measures used by Noan-young and Jung-min(2007) to measure self-encouragement (cognitive self-encouragement, behavioral self-encouragement, emotional self-encouragement). In addition, we used the measurement tools produced by Kim, Eung-Man(1995) to measure inferiority(physical inferiority, social inferiority, domestic inferiority, academic inferiority). As a result of the study, there was a negative correlation between self-encouragement and inferiority, and the higher the self-encouragement score, the lower the inferiority. Self-encouragement had negative effects on the inferiority of the family, followed by academic, physical, and social inferiority. In other words, there was a correlation between inferiority and self-encouragement of middle and high school students. As such, middle and high school students are mature physically, but emotional yet mature, so encouragement is needed in the process of forming self-identity.
