국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중국의 미디어 리터러시 교육 활성화를 위한 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 미디어 리터러시(media literacy)는 21세기 지식기반사회의 필수적인 역량의 하나라는 점에서 중요하다. 이에 따라 세계 여러 나라는 교과 교육이나 다양한 프로그램을 통해 미디어 리터러시 교육을 실천하고 있다. 그러나, 중국의 경우는 미디어 리터러시 교육을 실행할 독립적인 교과가 없으며, 교사의 자율적 실천에만 맡기고 있는 상황이다. 중국의 미디어 리터러시 교육을 활성화하기 위해서는 현행 교육과정에 미디어 리터러시 교육을 자연스럽게 접목할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 논의의 결과는 다음과 같다. 미디어 리터러시는 특정 교과 내 학습만으로는 도달할 수 없는 종합적인 역량에 해당한다. 미디어 리터러시의 교육 내용은 다양한 교과와 연관성을 가진다. 따라서 미디어리터러시 교육은 범교과적이고 통합적인 접근을 필요로 한다. 구체적인 통합의 방법으로는 다학문적 통합, 간학문적 통합, 탈학문적 통합이 있다. 교과통합적 접근은 중국 미디어 리터러시 교육의 가장 현실적인 대안이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find ways to revitalize media literacy education in China. Media literacy is important in that it is one of the essential competencies of a 21st century knowledge-based society. As a result, many countries in the world are practicing media literacy education through curriculum and various programs. However, in the case of China, there is no independent subject to carry out media literacy education, and it is the situation that is left only to the autonomous practice of the teacher. In order to promote media literacy education in China, it is necessary to naturally integrate media literacy education into current curriculum. The results of the discussion are as follows. Media literacy is a comprehensive competency that can not be achieved by learning in a specific subject. The contents of the media literacy have relevance to various subjects. Therefore, media literacy education requires a integrated approach. Specific integration methods include multidisciplinary integration, interdisciplinary integration, and transdisciplinary integration. An integrated approach is the most realistic alternative to Chinese media literacy education.
