상담자로서의 교수 역할

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 학과 만족도, 자아 효능감과 상담에 대한 인식을 알아보고 이들의 상관관계 분석을 바탕으로 상담자로서의 교수의 역할에 대한 제언을 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 사범대학 영어교육과에 재학 중인 1학년에서 4학년을 대상으로 설문과 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 자기효능감과 학과만족도와의 관계를 알아보기 위한 상관관계 검정 결과, ‘교수님들이 나를 잘 이해한다고 생각한다,’ ‘우리 학과나 집 사람들은 나에게 관심을 갖고 있다’ 와 ‘나는 가족이나 학과 사람들에게 관심이 있다’ 등의 관계와 관련된 항목들과 학과만족도와의 상관관계가 가장 컸으며, ‘나는 모든 일에 특별한 어려움을 느끼지 않고 있다’와 ‘나의 능력은 학습과제를 해결하기에 충분하다’ 등의 자신감에 대한 항목들과 학과 만족도와의 상관관계도 높았다. 한편, 상담에 대한 인식과 학과만족도는 유의미한 상관관계가 없었지만 상담자로서의 교수의 역할에 대한 인터뷰 결과, 학생들은 학과 교수님과 자주상담 하기 원하고 상담 후 교수님과 더 가까워진 느낌이 들고 학과에 좀 더 잘 적응 할 수 있을 것같다는 의견이 많았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate university students perceived satisfaction with department satisfaction, self-efficacy and perception of counseling and to suggest the role of professor as a counselor based on correlation analysis. For this purpose, questionnaires and interviews with students in grades one to four at the department of English Education were conducted. As a result of a correlation test to find out the relationship between self-efficacy and academic satisfaction, among professors understand me , my department and/or people in my house are interested in me , I am interested in my department and/or people in my house and the correlation between the items related to the relationship with the department and satisfaction of the department was the largest. ‘I do not feel difficulty in all things’ and ‘I have the ability to accomplish academic tasks also had a high correlation with department satisfaction. On the other hand, there was no significant correlation between the perception of counseling and satisfaction with the department, but as a result of the interview about the role of the professor as a counselor, students wanted to consult with the professor frequently, and expressed that they felt closer to the professor afterconsultation.
