목적 본 연구에서는 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 양육스트레스가 정서조절곤란을 통해 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 매개효과를 분석하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 육아정책연구소에서 제공된 한국아동패널의 13차년도(2020) 자료를 활용하였으며, 남아 302명, 여아 288명과 그들의 어머니를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램과 Hayes(2017)가 개발 및 보급한 SPSS PROCESS Macro v4.1 model4를 적용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 어머니의 양육스트레스, 정서조절곤란, 스마트폰 중독 변인 간에는 서로 정적으로 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육스트레스와 스마트폰 중독의 관계에서 정서조절곤란은 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 어머니의 양육스트레스가 정서조절곤란을 통해 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향에서 매개효과를 규명하였고, 어머니의 스마트폰 중독 문제에 대한 접근에 있어 양육스트레스와 정서조절곤란 등 심리적⋅정서적 측면을 고려하여 개입할 수 있도록 그 방향성을 제시하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was analyzed the mediating effect of parenting stress among mothers of elementary school children on smartphone addiction through emotional dysregulation. Methods The subjects of this study were the 13th year (2020) data of the Korean Children's Panel provided by the Childcare Policy Research Institute, and conducted an analysis targeting 302 boys and 288 girls and their mothers. The collected data were analyzed for mediation effects by applying the SPSS 22.0 program and SPSS PROCESS Macro v4.1 model4 developed and distributed by Hayes (2017). Results First, a statistically significant correlation was found between the variables of mother's parenting stress, emotional dysregulation, and smartphone addiction. Second, emotional dysregulation was found to have a significant mediating effect in the relationship between mothers' parenting stress and smartphone addiction. Conclusions The mediating effect of mother's parenting stress on smartphone addiction through emotional dysregulation was identified, and when approaching the problem of mother's smartphone addiction, it was possible to intervene by considering psychological and emotional aspects such as parenting stress and emotional dysregulation. The significance is that the direction was presented to enable this to happen.
