국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 스포츠전공학생이 영어영상 콘텐츠를 기획하고 제작하는 과정에서 학생들의 영어학습에 대한 정의적 측면을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 충청남도 소재 대학에 재학 중인 3, 4학년 48명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 설문은 영어학습 정의적 측면과 관련하여 자신감, 학습태도, 학습흥미그리고 학습동기에 대한 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 연구의 결과로, 영어에 대한 선호도나 영어학습 태도는 긍정적인 결과를 보였지만, 영어학습에 대한 자신감은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 영어에 대한 흥미나 동기는 긍정적으로 나타났지만 자기주도학습이나 학습에 대한 몰입에서는 어려움을 보였다. 마지막으로 협동학습에 있어서 팀원들과의 친밀도와 협동심, 그리고 영어실력의 향상 등을 장점으로 언급했고 영상물 제작, 편집과정의 어려움, 팀원 간의 상호작용의 문제 등을 단점으로 지적했다. 본 연구 결과를 통해, 교수자는 콘텐츠 제작 과업 절차에 대한 명확한 가이드라인을 제공해야한다. 또한 전문분야의 직무와 관련된 영어능력을 갖출 수 있는 영어교육과정의 개설이 필요하다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine sports major students’ affective aspects on English learning during planning and producing English video contents. Forty eight juniors and seniors who enrolled in an university in Chungcheongnam-do participated in the study. After having the students complete their team project, a survey was conducted. The survey consisted of questions about confidence, attitude, interests, and motivation related to the students’ affective aspects of English learning. As a result, preference and attitude about their English learning were positive; however, their overall confidence in learning English was low. In addition, while the students’ interests and motivation for English learning were positive, most of the participants mentioned about their difficulties in self-directed or emersion learning. Finally, in cooperative learning, intimacy, cooperation with team members, and improvement of English proficiency were mentioned as advantages. On the other hand, video shooting and editing process, interaction among team members were pointed out as disadvantages. Based on the results, it can be said that specific guidelines for the process of content production tasks should be provided. Additionally, it is necessary to establish practical English courses in which students can learn job-related English skills and investigate their future careers.
