행동기준평정척도(BARS)를 적용한 대학교수 교육역량 진단도구 개발 및 타당화 - S대학 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 대학 교육 질 향상에 가장 중요한 요소인 교수들의 교육역량 진단을 체계화하기 위해 진행되었다. 대학 교수의 교육역량을 ‘역량군 - 교육역량 - 하위역량 - 구성요소’의 체계가 되도록 구성하였다. 교육역량별 우수성과를 나타내는 교수자들의 구체적인 행동 특성을 도출하여 최종 성취 목표를 설정하고, 이를 기준으로 교육역량을 5개 수준으로 구분하여 각각의 행동 특성을 제시하는 행동기준평정척도(BARS)로 개발하였다. 연구를 위해 BEI(행동사건면접), 초점집단 인터뷰, 전문가 델파이 조사 등의 방법을 적용하였고, 교수 교육역량 체계와 진단도구를 체계적으로 타당화하고 검증하였다. 시범 진단과 타당화를 통해 최종 확정된 문항은 총 7개 요인 29개 문항으로, ‘교육철학 및 윤리 역량’ 6개 문항, ‘수업내용 조직화 및 전달 역량’ 5개 문항, ‘수업 실행 역량’ 5개 문항, ‘학습 평가 역량’ 4개 문항, ‘학생 이해 역량’ 3개 문항, ‘대학 이해 역량’ 3개문항, ‘교수법 전문성 역량’ 3개 문항이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to systematically diagnose the educational competencies of university professors as the most critical factor in improving the quality of university education. The educational competencies were structured into a system of 'competency group - educational competency - sub competency-component'. A behaviorally anchored rating scale(BARS) was developed, which identifies specific behavioral characteristics of instructors who demonstrate excellence in each area of educational competency, sets the final achievement goal based on these characteristics, and classifies educational competencies into five levels. For this study, methods such as BEI (behavior event interview), focus group interview, and expert Delphi survey were applied, and the teaching competencies system and diagnostic tool underwent systematic validation and verification. The final questionnaire, confirmed through a pilot test and validation, consisted of a total of 7 factors and 29 items, including 6 items on 'educational philosophy and ethics competency', 5 items on 'class content organization and delivery competency', 5 items on 'class execution competency', 4 items on 'learning evaluation competency', 3 items on 'student understanding competency', 3 items on 'university understanding competency', and 3 items on 'pedagogical expertise competency.
