국문 초록

본고의 목적은 마리 앙투아네트 초상화를 통해 로코코시대 메이크업을 파악하는데 있다. 선행연구와 문헌을 통해 사회, 문화적 배경 및 뷰티문화를 살펴보고, 비제 르 브룅작품을 중심으로 마리 앙투아네트초상화를 수집하여 메이크업 분석을 진행하였다. 연구결과, 연령별로 형태와 컬러에 미세한 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 이를 기반으로 로코코시대의 메이크업 특징을 정리하면, 먼저 피부색은 밝으며, 눈썹표현은 곡선형과 표준형으로 하여 황색과 황갈색, 회색으로 표현하였다. 볼표현은 붉은빛을 중심으로 한 진홍색에서 자홍색, 주홍색에 이르기까지 광대 아래로부터 관자놀이에 이르는 확대된 부위에과도하게 사용하였다. 입술표현은 인커브형태의 곡선형으로, 붉은 색채를 볼륨있게 표현하였다. 이와같은 연구결과는 메이크업의 변천과정과 시대적 특징을 파악할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 과거와 현재의 메이크업 표현 방식의 차이와 유사성을 비교하고, 문화적 변화가 메이크업에 미치는 영향을 이해하는데 참고자료로 활용될 것이라 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to understand Rococo era makeup through Marie Antoinette portraits. The social and cultural background and beauty culture were examined through previous research and literature, and makeup analysis was conducted by collecting portraits of Marie Antoinette, focusing on Vigée Le Brun's works. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that there were subtle differences in shape and color depending on age. Based on this, the makeup characteristics of the Rococo era were summarized. First, the skin color was bright, and the eyebrow expression was curved and standard, with yellow, tan, and gray eyebrows. It was expressed as. Cheek expressions range from crimson to magenta and vermilion, centered on red, and were used excessively on the enlarged area from below the cheekbones to the temples. The lip expression is curved in the form of an incurve, and the red color is expressed voluminously. These research results will not only help us understand the transformation process and characteristics of the times in makeup, but will also be used as reference material to compare the differences and similarities between past and present makeup expression methods and understand the impact of cultural changes on makeup. do.
