보육교사 인성 관련 연구의 메타분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 보육교사 인성 관련 연구의 동향을 파악하고 효과크기를 확인하여 보육교사의 인성과 관련된 변인의 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 방법 국내에서 출간된 학술지와 학위논문 중에서 본 연구의 기준에 부합하는 보육교사 인성 관련 연구 31편을 추출한 후 48개 변인의 효과크기를 확인하기 위하여 메타분석을 실시하였다. 체계적 문헌고찰을 통하여 분석할 연구를 선정한 후 CMA 프로그램을 이용하여 메타분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 보육교사의 인성 관련 연구물의 출판유형은 석⋅박사논문 19편, 학술지 12편으로 학위논문으로 더 많이 연구되었으며, 2013년을 기점으로 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 보육교사의 인성 관련 변인은 긍정적 교사 업무 요인, 부정적 교사 업무 요인, 심리적 요인으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 보육교사의 인성 관련 변인의 효과크기는 심리적 요인, 긍정적 교사 업무 요인, 부정적 교사 업무 요인의 순으로 큰 것으로 나타났다. 긍정적 교사 업무 하위요인 간 효과크기의 차이는 나타나지 않았으며, 부정적 교사 업무 요인과 심리적 요인의 하위요인 간 효과크기의 차이는 나타났다. 긍정적 교사 업무 요인의 효과크기는 아동권리, 직무만족, 영유아와의 상호작용, 교사효능감의 순으로, 부정적 교사 업무 요인의 효과크기는 아동학대 잠재성, 소진, 직무스트레스의 순으로 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 심리적 요인에서는 교사 심리의 효과크기가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 결론 국내에서 수행된 보육교사 인성 관련 변인들은 심리적 요인과 긍정적 교사 업무 요인에서 큰 효과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 기초로 보육교사 인성을 위한 후속연구와 교사교육 프로그램의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the research tends of papers related to the childcare teachers’ character and to analyze the effect sizes of character-related variables through meta-analysis. Methods Meta-analysis was conducted to confirm the effect size of 48 variables after extracting 31 dissertations and journals related to the character of childcare teachers published in Korea. After extracting analyzing papers through a systematic literature review, meta-analysis was conducted using the CMA program. Results First, the publishing type of research related to the character of childcare teachers had a similar ratio to academic journals and degree papers and showed a tendency to increase starting in 2013. Variables related to the character of childcare teachers were classified into positive teaching work, negative teaching work, and psychological factors. Second, the effect size of the character-related variables of childcare teachers was large in terms of a psychological factor, a positive teaching work factor, and a negative teaching work factor. There was no difference in effect size between the sub-factors of positive teaching work, but there was a difference in effect size between the sub-factors of negative teaching work and psychological factors. The effect size of a positive teaching work factor was in the order of child rights, job satisfaction, teacher-child interaction, and teacher efficacy. The effect size of a negative teaching work factor was in the order of child abuse potential, exhaustion, stress, and coping. In addition, in terms of a psychological factor, the effect size of teacher psychology was large. Conclusions It was found that variables related to the character of childcare teachers conducted in Korea showed significant effects in psychological and positive teaching work factors. The direction of the research and teacher program for the character of childcare teachers was discussed based on the results.
