수학적 모델링 관점에 따른 초등학교 6학년 교과서의 실세계 맥락 과제 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생이 경험하는 수학적 모델링 학습 기회의 중요성을 바탕으로, 교과서 과제를 통해 제공되는 일상 수업에서 초등학생들의 수학적 모델링 학습 가능성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 2011과 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정에 따라 집필된 초등학교 6학년 교과서 과제를 수학적 모델링 관점에서 분석하였다. 수학적 모델링 과정과 과제의 상황을 분석틀로 이용한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학적 모델링 과정과 관련하여, 2011에 비해 2015 개정 교육과정 시기 교과서에는 특정 단계의 수행에 초점을 맞춘 단일 과제보다 여러 단계의 수행을 유도하는 다중 과제 비율이 높아졌다. 둘째, 과제의 상황과 관련하여, 2011에 비해 2015 개정 교육과정 시기 교과서 과제에는 학생들의 일상생활에 밀접한 상황이 더 높은 비율로 반영되었다. 셋째, 위와 같은 비율의 변화에도 불구하고, 여전히 특정 모델링 단계와 상황을 반영하는 과제의 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

In this study, with the thought that it is important for elementary school students to have an opportunities to mathematical modeling learning, we examined the possibility of elementary school students learning mathematical modeling in everyday classes where textbooks are used as the main educational material. We analyzed the textbook tasks for 6th grade written based on the 2011 and 2015 revised national curriculum from a mathematical modeling perspective. The results are as follows. First, with respect to the mathematical modeling process, compared to 2011 textbook, the proportion of multiple tasks inducing multiple steps of modeling process in 2015 textbook is higher than that of single tasks focused on specific steps. Second, with respect to the situation, compared to 2011 textbook, the ratio of tasks reflecting the situation closer of students’ daily lives has increased in 2015 textbook. Third, despite the above changes, it is found that the ratio of tasks that reflect specific modeling steps and situations are still high.
