교육대학원에 재학 중인 성인학습자의 진로개발 과정 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교육대학원에 재학 중인 성인학습자의 진로개발 과정을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 진로구성이론을 토대로 성인학습자의 진로에 대한 인식과 경험을 탐색하였다. 이를 위하여 교육대학원에 재학 중인 성인학습자 9명을 대상으로 질적 접근인 성찰일지 작성하기를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육대학원에 재학 중인 성인학습자의 진로에 대한 인식에서 개인적 요인은 자기 자신에 대한 이해 과정, 내적 동기의 중요성, 사회ㆍ환경적 요인은 구체적인 설계를 통한 탐색과정, 행복감과 성취감의 중요성으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성인학습자의 진로교육에 대한 인식에서 진로교육의 목적은 삶에 집중, 역량 함양, 진로교육의 시기는 적절한 시기의 지속적인 교육, 진로교육의 내용은 구체적인 정보와 다양한 경험의 기회 제공, 진로교육의 방법은 학습자 중심의 교육, 진로교육의 평가는 절대평가와 과정중심 평가로 나타났다. 셋째, 초중등학교 과정에서의 성인학습자의 진로개발 경험은 긍정적인 관점에서 흥미와 적성, 교사와의 만남, 다양한 진로 활동, 부정적인 관점에서의 진로개발 경험은 부모의 경제력, 수능 점수의 강조, 진로교육의 부재와 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 교육대학원의 입학과정에서의 성인학습자의 진로개발 경험은 진로계획, 진로탐색, 직업적 자기효능감, 진로탐색 자기효능감과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 교육대학원에 재학 중인 성인학습자의 진로개발 경험은 진로만족, 승진, 고용과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 기초하여 성인학습자의 진로개발을 위한 진로교육에 대한 개선방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the career development process of adult learners at graduate school of education. This study explored the perceptions and experiences of career development of adult learners based on career constructivism. This study was to collect data from nine adult learners at Graduate School of Education through a reflection journal, which is a qualitative approach. The results of this study are as follows. First, in the perception of the career of adult learners in the graduate school of education, personal factors were the process of understanding themselves, the importance of internal motivation, and the social and environmental factors were the process of exploration through concrete design, and the importance of happiness and achievement. Second, the adult learner s perception of career education was that the purpose of career education were to concentrate their careers on life and develop competency, the time of career education was timely, continuous process, the contents of career education were detailed information, the opportunity of providing various experiences, the method of career education was learner-centered education, the evaluations of career education were absolute and process-based evaluation. Third, the career development process of adult learners in elementary and secondary school courses was related to interests and aptitudes, encounters with teachers, and various career activity from a positive perspective and parents economic strength, emphasis on SAT scores, and lack of career education from a negative perspective. Fourth, the career development process of adult learners in the admissions process of the graduate school of education were related to career plan, career search, professional self-efficacy, and career search self-efficacy. Fifth, the career development process of adult learners in the graduate school of education were related to career satisfaction, promotion and employment. Based on the results of this study, suggestions were made to improve career education for career development of adult learners.
