예비유아교사가 인식한 유아생활지도의 교육적 필요성 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사들이 인식한 유아생활지도의 교육적 필요성 탐색을 바탕으로 유아생활지도의 교육적 의미를 논의하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 유아생활지도와 상담 수업에 참여했던 예비유아교사 19명을 대상으로 개방형 설문을, 4명을 대상으로 추가적인 면담을 수행하여 그들이 경험한 사례를 분석하였다. 예비유아교사들이 인식한 유아생활지도는 유아 개인적 측면과 사회적 측면에서 교육적 필요성이 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 유아의 개인적 측면에서 1) 기본생활습관 형성과 2) 긍정적인 자아 발달에서 유아생활지도의 교육적 필요성이 도출되었으며, 유아의 사회적 측면에서 1) 갈등해결을 위한 사회적응기술 습득과 2) 사회정서 발달에서 유아생활지도 교육이 필요하다는 사실이 파악되었다. 이러한 유아생활지도의 교육적 필요성은 1) 전인발달을 위한 교육과 2) 행복추구를 위한 교육으로 교육적 의미가 확장되었음을 논의하였으며, 이것은 국가수준의 교육과정의 성격 및 목적과 일치함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 유아생활지도의 효율적 실천을 위하여 다양한 생활지도 수업 방식의 필요성, 지속적인 생활지도 교육 마련 방안, 그리고 유아생활지도를 위한 관련 연구의 수행을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss the educational meaning of early childhood life guidance based on exploring the perceived educational necessity of pre-service early childhood teachers. For this purpose, an open-ended survey was conducted with total nineteen pre-service early childhood teachers who participated in early childhood life guidance and counseling classes, and additional interviews were conducted with four participants to analyze their experiences. The results of this study showed that early childhood life guidance recognized by pre-service early childhood teachers had educational needs in terms of personal and social aspects of young children. From the personal aspect of young children, the educational necessity of early childhood life guidance was derived in two ways: 1) forming basic life habits, and 2) fostering positive self-development. From the social aspect of young children early childhood life guidance education is necessary for: 1) acquiring social adaptation skills to resolve conflicts, and 2) developing social-emotional skills. Furthermore, it indicated that the educational necessity of early childhood life guidance expands its educational meaning to: 1) education for the development of the whole person, and 2) education for the pursuit of happiness. It showed that the educational meaning of early childhood life guidance aligns with the nature and objectives of the national-level curriculum. To effectively implement early childhood life guidance, this study suggests that needs of various teaching methods related to life guidance, the development of continuous life guidance education approaches, and the undertaking of research related to early childhood life guidance.
