S대학교의 중국 유학생 프로그램 효과성 검증 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 중국인 유학생을 위한 소수자 지원 프로그램의 효과성을 알아보고자 하는 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 S대학교 유아교육 전공 중국인 유학생 16명이다. 최종 수집된 자료들은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기초통계 분석(M, SD)을 통해 연구변인의 경향성을 확인하였다. MLST-Ⅱ 학습전략 검사와 Kolmogorov-Smirnov 또는 Shapiro-Wilk 정규성 검증을 통해 비모수통계 방법을 선택하였다. 본 연구대상의 경우 짝지어진 표본 간의 분포 차이를 알아볼 수 있으므로 Wilcoxon 검정하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구변인에 대한 사전 평균 점수에 비해 사후 평균 점수가 전반적으로 높아진 것을 확인 할 수 있으며, 스트레스의 평균 점수는 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, MLST-Ⅱ 사전·사후 검증결과 성격적 차원(효능감, 자신감, 실천력), 동기적 차원(학습동기), 행동적 차원(시간관리, 공부환경, 수업태도, 노트필기, 집중전략, 책읽기, 기억전략, 시험준비) 점수는 높아진 반면, 정서적 차원(우울, 짜증, 불안), 동기적 차원(경쟁동기, 회피동기) 점수는 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정규성을 확인 한 결과 Kolmogorov-Smirnov와 Shapiro-Wilk에서 유의수준이 일부에서 p<.05 로 나타나 정규성을 만족하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구변인의 유의한 차이를 보인 항목은 학업적 자기효능감 전체(p-value .004)와 자기조절효능감 하위영역(p-value .001)이다. 스트레스에서는 개인(p-value .009)과 문화적응(p-value .004) 하위영역이며, 대학교육 서비스 만족도에서는 교수와의 관계성(p-value .013), 교수시설 및 환경(p-value .023) 하위영역이다. 마지막으로 학업적 자아개념 전체(p-value .023)와 학업성취(p-value .010) 하위영역 항목에서 차이가 발생하였다. 본 연구결과는 외국인 유학생 대상 맞춤형 프로그램 제공을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다는 점에 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of a minority support program for Chinese students. The participants of the study were 16 Chinese students majoring in early childhood education at S University. The data collected for this study identified the tendency of research variables through basic statistical analysis (M, SD) using SPS 18.0. MLST-II test and nonparametric statistical methods were chosen through Kolmogorov-Smirnov or Shapiro-Wilk normality test. For this study, Wilcoxon test was conducted because we could recognize the distribution differences between the paired samples. The key findings are as follows. First, we confirmed that the post-average score for the study variables generally increased compared to the pre-average score, and the average score for stress decreased. Second, according to the MLST-II pre- and post-test results, the scores of personality(self-efficacy, confidence, the power of execution), motivation(academic motivation) and behavior(time management, study environment, class attitude, note-taking, focus strategy, reading strategy, memory strategy, test preparation) increased, while the scores of emotion(depression, irritation, anxiety) and motivation(competitive motivation, avoidance motivation) level decreased. Third, as a result of checking the normality, some of the significance levels in Kolmogorov-Smirnov or Shapiro-Wilk turned out to be p<.05 and didn t satisfy the normality. Fourth, the significant differences of research variables were found in the entire academic self-efficacy (p-value.004) and the sub-area of self-regulation effectiveness (p-value.001). In stress, the significant differences of research variables were found in the sub-category of individuals (p-value.009) and cultural adaptation (p-value.004). In college education service satisfaction, the significant differences of research variables were found in the sub-category of relationship with professors (p-value .013) and teaching facilities and environment (p-value .023). Finally, differences occurred in the entire academic self-concepts (p-value .023) and the sub-category of academic achievements (p-value .010). This research result is meaningful that it can be used as basic data for providing customized programs for foreign students.
