국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생을 위한 디자인씽킹기반 학습프로그램을 개발하는 연구 과정 속에서 첫째, 초등학생을 위한 디자인씽킹기반 학습프로그램 개발을 위한 설계원칙은 어떻게 도출되고 또 무엇이며, 둘째, 이러한 설계원칙에 따라 개발된 프로그램은 어떠한 모습으로 제시될 수 있는가라는 연구문제를 중심으로 실행연구의 방법으로 실행되었다. 먼저 디자인씽킹의 개념, 선행연구, 프로그램의 대상 및 운영방법으로부터 8개의 설계원칙을 도출하고, 도출된 설계원칙에 따라 초등학교 3학년의 교육과정을 분석하여 ‘미래의 교통 및 통신수단 디자인하기’라는 주제로 개발된 디자인씽킹기반 학습프로그램을 A초등학교 3학년 c반 학생을 대상으로 사회, 국어, 미술, 창의적 체험활동 10시간을 통해 2019년 7월 8일부터 7월 19일까지 적용하였다. 적용 결과 공감 단계는 해결하고 싶은 문제상황 떠올리기와 문제 상황 속 대상자 공감하기 활동을, 문제정의 단계는 인물 집중탐구하기, 문제상황 들여다보기, 해결해야할 과제 디자인하기 활동으로, 아이디어발상 단계는 씨앗 아이디어로 만들고 나누기와 새싹 아이디어로 키우고 나누기 활동으로, 프로토타입 & 테스트 단계는 프로토타입 만들기, 피드백 받기, 프로토타입 개선하기 활동으로 프로그램 구성이 마무리되었고 디자인씽킹 프로세스는 초등학생을 위한 디자인씽킹 프로그램의 설계원칙을 일관되게 응용할 때 프로그램의 효과적인 실천이 구현될 수 있다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study was carried out as an action research questions as follows in the process of developing learning programs based on design thinking for elementary school students. First, what are the design principles for developing learning programs based on design thinking for elementary school students and how can these principles be created? Second, how can the learning program following these design principles be presented? Firstly, eight design principles were derived from the various resources such as concept of design thinking, previous research, program object and literature about design methods. According to the derived design principles, the researchers analyzed the curriculum for the 3rd Graders in A Elementary School and developed the program under the theme of Designing the Future of Transportation and Communication. The developed program was run from July 8 to July 19, 2019, through 10 hours of social studies, Korean, art, and creative experience activities for the 3rd Graders in elementary school. As a result of application, the researchers did not find only that each phases of design thinking process consisted of important activity steps such as thinking of the problem situation and empathizing with people in the problem context as the empathy phase, creating and sharing seed ideas as the ideate phase, etc. but also that design thinking program for elementary students could be effectively run when teachers applied ‘development principles’ consistently to student activities based on design thinking process.
